Keep at it bro. Took me about 3 years or so. Now it’s too easy. I’ve been cutting my own for 6 years now. Edge up with a straight edge and all. All about patience 💯 you’ll improve over time

I’m getting braids after this quarantine is over, but I’m undecided on getting my hairline tapered. I don’t want my braids to strain my hairline but I don’t like how insane some hairline tapers look (I like King Bril’s though). What should I do y’all? Is it important to get the hairline tapered for braids/dreads? Or can I just braid it up and keep it moving?

if you dont want the taper dont get it just make sure you trust the braider and dont do cornrows too often

f2. certi yeah I ended up getting the hairline taper. The first time I got it idk if it was my braider or my barber but one of them rounded it off and fucked it up. So I had to wait another 2 months to let it grow back a bit so my new braider could attach the smaller pieces of hair to my longer pieces of hair if that makes sense. Now it looks exactly how I wanted it to look. All in all, I’m very happy I did it the taper hairline. I couldn’t imagine doing the other way.

Yeah my line is naturally off too. This is random but, I went to a barber I hadn’t seen in awhile cause he normally pushes my line back even tho I say keep it natural. I sit down get my normal taper fade and get out his chair. I look in the mirror and realize that my line up is on 10!!! So as I’m handing him his money; he starts telling one of the other barbers that he and his whole family had to get tested for the CoronaVirus because his wife is a nurse... 🚶🏾‍♂️
