A video on Celadons would be great! Im also interested in what your thoughts are about Ancient Jasper - is it similar in the way you should fire Ancient Copper and the things you mention in this video?

Hi! We have a Celadon video series in the can and will be posting it soon. As for Ancient Jasper, it's a very different glaze from Ancient Copper (despite the similar names) . We've had some requests for an informational video on Ancient Jasper, so we will probably make one in the near future. In the meantime, I can tell you Ancient Jasper is very sensitive to thickness and clay body. It likes to be thick and it works best on red clay bodies. Amaco glazes function best without a slow cool program. Ancient Copper is best if NOT slow-cooled. If you are interested in slow-cooling your firings please consult your kiln manual for a ramp/hold slow-cool schedule program (for kilns with an electronic controller), or search "slow cool kiln sitter
