It's good to support local businesses. Also, it's good to preserve recipes from our parents, and our grandparents. Hope you have a Happy Easter. Cheers, Arnie! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️

6:12 I lost my mom almost a decade now 9 years ago she passed, & after a long time grieving I realize how much of a cook she was I adored & admire her cooking, Its culture & tradition I’m sad she didn’t pass down recipes to me but I’m happy there’s people like you who understand how important it is to share something so special & be reminded of times when it was easier, I’ve inherited her fire pit my grandpa made for her I can’t wait to get back on my feet to one day have a house with her pit in my back yard I miss her so much

I loved this. I grew up with my dad doing live fire but when I started I got into smoking meats and left live fire behind. I am now lamenting that and working towards getting back into it. I love the tradition that you guys are harkening back to and trying to pass on.

I love the open fire tutorials. It's something I've always wanted to learn how to do. Do you ever do open fire cooking with full sized goats or sheep, or is that always done barbacoa style? I was just wondering if you could do a goat or sheep on something like a Big Jav spinning asado cross.

Interesting to have this video come up. We raise and sell goats and we have a few just a couple weeks from being weaned. We have never eaten it though. They either get sold to 4H kids or taken to the sale barn for someone to buy to do this.

The red juice in meat is not blood. It's myoglobin, the juice from the muscles. It astounds me how many seasoned chefs don't know that. Gordon Ramsay notoriously yells at his students for "bloody meat" when it's not blood. Look it up. It's called myoglobin.

It's not that they don't know, it's just easier to say that then to give a long winded explanation to people that wont believe it anyway most of the time. Thanks for trying though.
