you dont need to cut out another stripe for the cutaway you can just set the 2 halfs further apart

I also like to do cutaways, but I think a good way to get the line straight is with a guillotine, you can cut straight through the griptape and then just tear the paper. It works for me, and I think we can all agree that cutaways like the one in the video always look better when the line is cut straight.

+yash biswas Griptape makes it so you can do tricks. It's super rough and gives lots of friction when you do things like tre flips.

Pro tip: Cut the grip from the bottom, not the top for a smoother cut and a longer lasing blade.

Wait how does the direction you cut do anything to your blade?

Cutting through the back cuts the backing first and tends to just push the grit (which if you file the edge, there shouldn't be much) out of the way. Cutting from the top tends to cut through the grit which damages the blade more.

If I were to cut the grip would you recommend doing it fast or slow? I cut it fast and got a nice clean cut but when i did it slowly i still got a nice clean cut but had a little bit of excess.

Kinda medium. If you go too fast and you mess up, the mistake will be huge before you can react. Too slow and your blade might stick and snag, ripping the grip tape.

Take Note: Wearing the Sombrero actually helps prevent air-bubbles.

Actually wrong, but right. Exacto is a brand. One of the first brands to make box cutters, therfore people started calling all box cutters from every brand "exacto knives" Kinda like how some people call any type of tissue a "kleenex" like the brand.

your cutting it wrong, cut it from below not above. It gives a much cleaner cut. also you should use a razor blade instead of an exacto-knife. But, that is just personal preference

Zumies depends on who does it, I got my grip done for the first time and he got me like 3 air bubbles and crappy cuts. The second time was done by a actual skater and I got a really nice clean cut all around and no bubbles

A S Mob is the most grip, along with brostyle being a close number two. but then you get down to jessup, which is only semi grippy for a short period of time then wares off. never tried am grip before so i wouldnt know about it

In my opinion, grizzly is the stickiest and most grippy i have ever tried, but it tears away at your shoes like they are nothing.
