How to groom a maltese?
If you want your pet to always be well-groomed, maltese grooming should be once a month in a professional salon. For home grooming a maltese, you need a slicker with long teeth, a comb and shampoo for long hair.
New videos are released twice a week on my channel. Friday - #shorts , Saturday - full video of dog haircuts.

I think you are an awesome groomer. Holding his nose and chin with him being so calm shows trust and comfort levels. I had the same dog groomer for 10 years it was hard find ing my old guy a new groomer. One that has your patience and ease.

My daughter had a Maltese she picked from a litter. He was utterly adorable, always by her side, and super outgoing. Everyone he met fell instantly in love. Sadly, my daughter died 01/26/2019. Of course, I took in her precious pup (by then he was 14 years old). I was so lucky to have him in my life as he was incredibly so much like my daughter. Sadly, two years later, he developed Canine Cognitive Disfunction (which is much like Alzheimer’s). I did absolutely everything I could do for him. It broke my heart again when on 10/04/2021 I sent him over the Rainbow Bridge to his momma. It was like losing my daughter all over again. He was all of six pounds, but his personality filled the room. He was the very bestest boy. RIP little Fluffer. You earned your Angel wings! May you chase butterflies and play alongside bunnies till we meet again! ❤️❤️

I’m so sorry for your losses!! I have a similar story. I took my mother in with the Maltese boy I gifted her. I took care of both of them. He became my dog, as well as hers. She passed away several years later and of course I kept little Romeo. He started suffering from kidney disease (ironically the same issue my mother had) and I had to put him down two years after my mother died. Losing them both really took a toll on me. I still haven’t recovered. Wishing you love and peace.

@@lynnwilhoite6194 Oh, what kindred spirits we are! We did all we could for our loved ones. My daughter was angry at me for calling the police on her so-called “fiancé.” I did so because late one night she called me with absolute terror in her voice: “Mom, he’s got me in a corner, AGAIN! He has his fist raised toward me, AGAIN!! I lived an hour away and had one too many of these calls. She had me on speaker phone so I told him either he left her alone by the count of 10, or I called the police. At 10, I put them on hold and called the police. Of course, by the time the cops got there, he’d coerced her into telling them everything was okay (he’s illegal from Mexico). And like every abusive monster, he coerced her into not speaking to me again. The next phone call (one year later of her not speaking to me), I got a phone call at 7:51 AM on January 26, 2019. It was the Seattle Morgue telling me that my daughter was there. She had died in the night from an apparent drug overdose. In my shock, I told them she didn’t do drugs she was adamantly against them. It couldn’t be her. But they told me that she definitely had drugs in her system. When she died the same so-called fiancé was with her. Turned out she had dumped him for almost11 months, but just before she died she started playing with fire again. It took almost 2 weeks before I convinced the police there was something extremely wrong with the way that she died. She had friends calling all the way from Florida to tell them that she wasn’t a drug taker - particularly never the five drugs that they found in her system. Two weeks later, he police finally agreed. They got the FBI involved to do a hair strand test. They redid the autopsy to do a forensic autopsy. Long story short, the case is now open but it’s considered inactive because by the time Detectives got involved, most of the evidence was gone as that monster had a key and cleaned or got rid of EVERYTHING. I have to live with the fact that, at 34 years of age, she will be forever young and beautiful but she will never get the chance to marry, she’ll never have the chance to have children. I’ll never get to hug her again. Needless to say, little Fluffer’s huge personality was not just appreciated, it was necessary for me to make it through those horrendous days (many, many horrific details left out). Fluffer’s passing in October has (as I’m certain you totally understand) a second gaping hole. Yes I have my rescue dog. He’s completely the other side of the coin personality-wise. I thank God every day for Cotton. But nothing and no one will ever fill the holes left by Katie and her dog. This is the “new normal.” Love doesn’t die, but changes. Changes into a bandage to get us through our days when we’ll see then again. God bless!

@@floofypurplefluff9924 Wowie wow wow wow! My son is 33 and I can’t imagine losing him in such a horrible way (or at all). I’m praying for you and that that killer is caught. It enrages me to think that horrible creature felt he had the right to take your daughter’s life!! God bless you and Cotton. Folks that don’t love animals don’t understand how great a loss their leaving us can be. ❤️‍🩹

Dogs should be this well behaved. Unfortunately, people don't get them groomed consistently enough so the pet sees grooming as a good thing, or the dog is neglected/abused, or was adopted with an unknown history and scared/anxious. I'm glad when dogs are great for grooming and happy to be with me to groom. If not, we work on it being a beneficial and grooming to be a happy process over time if the owner takes me up on my professional advice and gets their pet on a schedule. It's wonderful when you have a pet to groom that at first was a nervous wreck and then over time they enjoy not only seeing you but also the grooming process!
