In this video I show how to grow anubias emersed in my three dedicated emersed anubias setups by covering the substrate, lighting, misting, fertilizers, pruning, and temperature that maximizes the growth rate of my anubias plants. Anubias is a great plant to grow emersed if you want to get the fastest possible growth, which is necessary if you want to sell your extra plants for a little bit of profit.
By combining a setup like the ones revealed in this video with proper propagation techniques that I cover in this video: • Complete Guide On How ... you can start growing many anubias plants with very little effort and cost.

In this video I cover the following topics on how to grow anubias emersed!
Substrate: 1:45 Anubias plants do not require a special substrate to be grown emersed. I use black earth which can be bought very cheap at any garden center and the nutrients last a long time in these anubias emersed setups.
Misting: 3:35 The more you mist your anubias plant the better because it will keep the humidity high inside the tubs. You can reduce the amount you mist but as a rule of thumb it is best to ensure there is condensation on the sides of the tub.
Fertilizers: 4:35 I mix a few aquarium fertilizers that I have laying around into my spray bottle so that when I spray my plants it provides a small amount of nutrients. This is not an exact science and I just eyeball the amount of nutrients and I have never experience fertilizer burn on my plants although I would recommend not overdoing it when spraying your anubias plants with fertilizers.
Pruning: 7:30 Besides regularly propagating my anubias plants the only pruning that you need to do is removing old leaves if they start to turn yellow. A lot of the time this is normal and doesn't mean there is a nutrient deficiency but rather the plant is still adjusting to the new emersed setup. When you see this it is best to cut away the yellow leaf so that it does not block out the light for smaller plants.
Lighting: 8:09 I like to grow my anubias plants under full sunlight in my window. You don't need to worry about algae because they are being grown emersed so you can get away with using strong lighting to grow the anubias plants.
Temperature: 8:45 My emersed anubias setups are being grown in the ambient temperature of my room. This sits around 70 F (~21 C) which is a little bit on the cooler side as anubias can be grown in warmer temperatures. Generally you will see much faster growth if you grow your anubias plants in a warmer environment and I have also noticed that you will have a higher tendency for your anubias plants to flower.
