I would like to help with an extra tip that I didnt find it to be enough menitoned. On the Judas Tree and the Japanese Maple Tree, I found it extremly helpful using sandpaper on the seeds right before you put them in the water container for the required 24 or 48 hours. The procedure also helps the plant to start growing faster when you put it in the soil, but be careful with over/under-watering it!

@JACKYOUTUBE2 жыл бұрын
@@emery1457 I got you friend. I could never get them past seedlings before but this time I believe I've cracked it, my flame tree is currently big and only a couple months old. So my only tip which I haven't seen is when they grow about an inch or 2 I planted them separately in clear pots, they are translucent so I can always seen how dry the soil is. I use old morioworm tubs from pet shop. The soil is 2 parts ordinary soil compost from outside garden nothing fancy with 1 part coconut fibre, which you can buy 1 block for a few £ and it will last forever believe me. Every day I spray the soil on top only lightly a couple time around the plant, but I always make sure I can see a little condensation inside the clear container. And I water from the top by the way. Also I didn't compress the soil too much either. I have 20 plants going currently and all of them I used different techniques, this one has worked out the best for me. I also add a drop of orchid baby bio every 2 weeks, but I'm sure the normal baby bio will do too. Honestly don't think too much about it, let them do their things. I keep them in a cabinet at night so they don't get too cold and I put them in about the middle of my room which gets a bit of sun in the day. Best of luck friend, let me know if I can come of any use.

So,I know it’s a bit late for this answer, but, before starting this process it’s good to research each species of tree you’re looking to grow. If you want to grow them indoors, tropical trees are better. Others may differ and may need to be grown outside. @BlastFromThePastTheGoodOldDays2 жыл бұрын
Depends what time of year you are planting. Apparently if you plant in fall/ autumn then they don't need stratification but any other time you need to put them in the fridge for a few weeks. Then before planting you need to soak the seeds in water for a few days- depending on the seed lukewarm to hot water [but not boiling]. sometimes leaving the seeds on a damp bit of kitchen towel for a few days helps. Also some of the seeds need additional help like sand paper on the shell of the seed or using scissors to carefully expose the seed.

@goose8368 Жыл бұрын
Check out the forum r/Bonsai, plenty of info on there and people willing to help. I can't comment much on yours dying sadly, it might have to do with the temps being too cold in your friend or you're buying dead seeds (very common in starter bonsai sets) For beginners it's recommended to start from a nursery. Not will you get a guaranteed fully healthy baby tree (as long as you look after it) but you'll get to start playing with shaping it and everything very early on. Growing it from a seed is very rewarding but it sounds like you might be happier with starting with a nursery tree first, and then try out seeds once you get the hang of making trees into bonsai. Honestly even some of the most experienced bonsai tree keepers don't deal with seeds because of how long they take. Grabbing some nursery trees are much better generally speaking.

that's like saying it's weird a human takes so long to learn how to walk and grow to 1,50 meters hahaha, it's nature, it needs time :)

Thats why bonsai trees are so expensive to buy in the shops ;)

@@thomasvlekke5365 true in some sense, but as its a very tiny tree, i thought i grew in more less time than 3yrs. But good to know it would hopefully last after its fully grown. Had got a grown ready bonsai as a gift and it didnt last very long,even though i watered it per instructions and trimmed it. maybe 6months. Hopefully this would last longer than 6 months after turning into a fully grown mini tree. :/
