This is our third video in a seven-part series all about how to grow herbs from seeds.
We started our herb garden in both a hydroponic system and in a seed starting tray to compare germination and growth rates between hydroponic gardening and classic soil-based gardening. In both systems we planted: Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Italian Parsley, Coriander, Dill, Lavender, Viola, Curled Parsley and bonus: Strawberries! (we know it is not an herb) :-) to compare which system works better. This is the 4-6 week update showing the growth of our herb garden in soil trays and in the hydroponic system. Chapters are marked below if you want to find a specific herb in the video.

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! We had never grown herbs before making this series - if we could do it, you can too!!! 😀We wish you all the best in your gardening journeys. Herbs grow slowly so it's worth starting them in January so they're ready by summer in Northern climates. Times will be different down south.
