So was it 3 or 4 cuttings that rooted? Nah it is not important, there usually isn't 100% success. I think that these are wonderful plants to include in our homes and gardens. I dig up the strongest of each colour I grow every Autumn. I pare back the roots and prune the foliage back to pot up for the winter. I propagate as many stem cuttings as I can. I like to do this with Impatiens as they require little in terms of extra lighting and heat. While others require some extra help to survive the winter. I keep only the strongest looking plants which is about 2/3 of what is propagated when all is said and done. I end up planting at my home, and 2 other family members homes.
