Best time to grow garlic is in Fall. If You temperature is too cold in winter and dips below 20F, you can grow garlic in spring and through the summer. PLant garlic 2 inches deep and 6 inches apart. Garlic is very easy to grow and Garlic is naturally pest resistant. It takes 8 to 9 months to harvest garlic since planting.

This was definitely impressive video production work that you filmed it over 9 months and edited it all together into an 8 minute video for our convenience. I know that takes a lot of time and focus, all to give out free information. Thanks so much! Also it is super cute how happy you were picking your garlic. I would be too. Congrats! :-)

Raw garlic contains a component called Allicin, which helps in thinning the blood and reduces the cholesterol levels. Thus, the best way to consume garlic is by eating raw garlic on an empty stomach as the fresh garlic contains Allicin and this component gets diluted during the process of cooking. Thank you Jack. You are a great person.

Its amazing i just recently started in the quarantine and i am thankfull i learned how to grow so many stuff and its such a satisfaction when seeds you grab from the fruits or flowers germinate and mooore when they give u vegetables to eat nothing better than organic vegetables i totally discarded stored vegetables its just 100 times healthier and tastier.

*@nora chaar* Yeah, I bet it’s a great feeling being able to grow your own food. Stuff like garlic, potatoes, onions, herbs, and more. A good thing also is that whatever waste you have such as peelings, you can just put it all into your soil to let it decompose, and it will then provide extra nutrients for your plants, so nothing ever gets wasted. Good stuff 👍🏼.

The health benefits alone are reason enough to plant your own garlic! Mine are going in the ground today and it’s pretty exciting! I’m doing a row of elephant and a row of Cali soft neck. The smaller cloves I’ve cleaned and dropped into a bottle of olive oil, the mediums I’m trying something new this year. I’m starting them in water and after a few days when they start rooting I’ll drop them into a planter to keep in doors by the window. Am I the only one that gets silly happy when it’s garlic time LOL?! Thanks for sharing. 👍🏼👍🏼 from this guy!

I know I'm not him but I'm pretty sure you can grow this in well drained gardening pots

You should also probably get some uv light bulbs that can be bought at pet stores or select supply stores

Not as many cloves and a very small head of garlic. One way to get more and spread it out is plant some in Sept. some in Oct. & some in Nov.

quick question: I love eating garlic greens, cutting the greens from time to time does it affect the growth of the garlic? Thanks

It will undoubtedly hurt the growth, but who cares? Plant a few extra just for the greens, perhaps as companions to plants with bug issues (e.g. earwigs eating my motherfuckin' basil).

Very informative! I was hoping you would have opened one of the bulbs of garlic, and pealed one of the cloves.😏

Tested and this works. Super easy. In QLD Australia only took between 8-12 weeks. And that was during our winter. Cant wait to plant some in summer :)
