I wanted to give a quick overview of my grow room before I started going into specifics of the different grow room systems. The big five beings: Fresh Air Exchange, Humidity, Lighting, Temperature, and Space Utilization. Grow rooms are all about balance and playing with the room dynamics to create a hospitable environment for quality mushrooms to grow.

Trying to build some shelving for our next expansion. We started from a 6x6 grow tent, and we've added on every year. We should be at 1300 square feet by next summer. Love your videos dude. And your king blue oysters are excellent! Would love a detailed video on the shelving. Our fruiting space is all shipping containers, so we can only have 1 walk way with shelving on either side. I gotta make shelving that can hold 3 rows of blocks per shelf to maximize output.

I had a crazy thought what if you ran temperature controlled fluid through the pipes that make up your shelving? Kind of like a radiator but you could have it attached to a heat pump to control the temperature of the recruiting room hot or cold?
@jorma4382
@jorma4382 5 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for the videos! I'm planning to buy two insulated (ex-reefer) containers with heat pumps. Its pretty big investment to get those and i'm a little bit concerned that the heat pumps will get clogged by the spores over time. I was planning to make some kind of filters and clean the indoor unit every week or so. Could this work, or what do you think? Happy new year! :)

I had a similiar idea with the containers...you could set up a prefilter before it reaches the pumps. But most important is to just start! Good luck!

wouldn't it be cheaper to ventilate the grow room if it was bigger in size? considering that there would be more air to mix around? i'm asking this because part of me wants to design a small room for maximum control, on the other hand if it's a basement room with brick walls i can just allow the air to recirculate for a lot longer before having to bring in fresh air through an expensive HEPA filter. what are your thoughts on this?
@benjaminerickson645

No, you need a fixed amount of fresh air based on the amount of substrate and the speed at which the mushrooms are growing. A larger space doesn't change the amount of fresh air you need at all

Just the type of bags. The hanging bags are generally straw, which doesn't need as good protection from contaminates. Love your set up. I have to say something though. A legal cannabis for medical garden, with a 4x8 T5x2 fixture veg room and a 4x8 HPSx2 fixture flower room, running at 40-70% humidity, with a 10" inline exhaust fan would get a persons insurance cancelled if they knew about it. Legal or not. It's a challenge we face here in Canada, now that it's legal for people to grow their own. I'm curious if your insurance company is aware of your set up and how they perceive it. The risk factors between what you do and what I do are practically the same. Would like to hear your thoughts on this.
