Popcorn shoots are a microgreen variety increasing in popularity. As you might have guessed from their name, they grow from the seeds that a lot people use for popcorn. The shoots are useful for ingredients and garnishing dishes, as they are golden yellow and have a unique, super sweet flavor.

Double dome the top with a clear lid under the black. That way you can lift the black and still see through the clear without it flopping over.

Cool Info, I think you are the best on explain the process. I saw that when I harvest corn it is really wet, due to the fact that it is pushing the water from the bottom to the upper side of the leaves. Any suggestion on how to keep them dry, so that it can improve the shelf life? best regards from Italy, Michele.

Hi, I actually love the taste and so did my dinner guests. But! I'm hung up on the blackout dome, that you "made"? On my first attempt I use and upside thick plasitc bowl and small tray but still had some light leaks bc slightly green. How did you make it? Just spray paint a clear one? What kind of paint? I've tried it before with mill jugs and it cracks off pretty easily. Thanks for answering.

I bought the popcorn already cause I saw it on your list. It's amazing looking. I am severely allergic to corn. It might put me flat on my back with swollen joints but it's, to me, worth a try. I'll report back. Uncovered the corn today. Ate a good amount. I like it. Chewed it up for the juice but I think you need 3 stomachs to digest it. So it went pitoowee. (Spit it out). I'll see if I get a reaction. Otherwise I will cut it up and freeze some to add to my blender green drinks. Some can be quite bitter.

can you cover black oil sunflower seeds with coir the same way to help prevent mold?
@PrincetonMicrogreens
@PrincetonMicrogreens 3 жыл бұрын
I’ve tried but because the seeds are so large, it likes to bring up the coir as a huge canopy, even with a ton of weight on top. It’s possible, but requires a lot of extra TLC.

Great video except about your packaging. Your customers are not educated on plastics. These do not break down under normal conditions or in a backyard compost. It has to be composted at an industrial composting facility. Which most cities DO NOT HAVE, If your city has them great! But most do not.
@PrincetonMicrogreens
@PrincetonMicrogreens 2 жыл бұрын
Are you not a fan of our compostable containers made from corn starch? I’ve composted these personally in the back yard and they disintegrated in the matter if months! We love them and so do our customers. 🤷🏻‍♂️
@cpubugs
@cpubugs 2 жыл бұрын
@@PrincetonMicrogreens I wouldn't say I am not a fan of them, I am however curious if what you say is accurate. Do you have a video documenting the break down? I am very familiar with the plastics made from corn starch and I've tried many times breaking them down in VERY active compost piles and after 3 to 4 months they are still complete.
