The sweet potato is also a common root crop in my country. I eat sweet potatoes as much as I can. It amazes me that the simple sweet potatoes I eat every week would take around 6 months to harvest! Thank you for making this video. I know it took a lot of hardwork and patience at your end. I'm trying to grow own sweet potato as well and I'm already on my 3rd day. The roots are starting to appear. Thank you Korean gardener! :)

In the Philippines sweet potato leaves are edible and is usually added to fish soups.

I have learned new techniques of planting sweet potatoes. I planted one last week using stick and plastic drinking container with water. Nothing change, but thankful, and hopeful that it will grow. Let us see what will happen in the coming days

This tecnique takes for ever. Just soak the sweet potato in water for a few minutes, then wrap it in thick paper towel. Put in zip lock . Do not need to tight it completely. Then , put that in another plastic bag, loose, put the bag in a dark corner. Check and change the wet paper towel every 2 to 3 days. You will see the sprouts in about 2 weeks , most

Хороший метод,возьму на вооружение.Но в мешок надо максимум два растения,а лучше одно!!!А так,классно👍

Если земля плодородная, то можно и 6 растений, главное, чтобы питания хватало (по листьям видно, когда подкармливать). С одного растения всего 2-3 клубня батата получается - мешок на 1 не выгодно.

@@user-rv7ph5bt2d А Вы посмотрите, как густо посажены черенки батата. Есть много роликов, как выращивают в теплых странах. А Вам, я думаю, вообще не нужны мешки. Судя по имени, Вы из теплого региона. Это я в Беларуси, где лето холодное, пробую выращивать батат в мешке, да ещё и в теплице (батат ниже 20 градусов плохо переносит, а у нас летом ночью до 10 градусов часто). У нас в магазине он в 10 раз дороже, чем картошка (считается экзотикой). А внуки очень любят.

У меня 4 теплицы.Две большие и две маленькие.Места все одно не хватает.Практически все выращиваем в них.Дыни,арбузы и само собой перцы,баклажаны,томаты,огурцы.Сейчас в открытом грунте практически ничего не хочет расти.У нас тоже ночи очень холодные.А в этом году лето вообще было нечто...

I had excellent success with this bag method 2 years ago, tried this year with normal plant pots and my plants did not grow sweet potatoes this year. Think it was soil/sun issue plants never flowered. 🙃
