Its important for parents not to shield their kids from reality of this world but sit with them and discuss how do you think these people, society problems were created. Whats underlying it all. It will inspire the kids to look for solutions to become part of solution rather than problem. We often discuss celebrities but i pull up info from when they were young to now so they can see the damage of fame. Then when we come across homeless we talk about what could be their life stories, how could they get better, what would they need. Kids dont need to be talked at, they need to be engaged in living Islam not just learning/praying.. its so hard for parents these days… we are all tested…not just kids… question is how well did you inspire not how well did you demand.. because the prophet saws never demanded either…

I haven't watched the video yet, but I can say that my Muslim boyfriend (I didn't want to agree to become a Muslim) convinced me without obligation in this way. Islam solves social problems. When we heard a message on the internet, for example: “a girl was molested by a stranger”. He said “and that is why Islam requires women to dress modestly” and bla bla bla. It took patience, because it took me a year, piling up these statements that slowly made sense to me too, I started to learn about Islam also so that I could debate with him and have discussions. Today I am a Muslim, I wear hijab and I believe that this religion is the truth, even if it were not the truth, it will not have been wasted time of my life to have practised this religion, because it benefits individuals and solves social problems.

The parents need to moderate themselves and make sure they are clear, concise, and that they do not shout at her or give her a hard time. They need to talk like this sister in the video. They need to also talk to her about her interests and ask her how she is doing etc. Kids go looking for things like liberalism when they feel disconnected and not listened to by the parents. We often get too hung up on “Do this! Do that! Did you do this yet? Why aren’t you do that!?” We need to communicate with our children better.

Masha Allah Alhamdulillah. When there is a problem in our life we must remember that Allah is always with us and Allah does not give us any burden that we cannot bear. Also we have to know that life is a test so we have to pass through patience and prayer. We should think positive in everything because our actions will be based on intentions and Allah will judge us on our intentions. If we want to go to Jannah without punishment then we have to rely on Allah in all cases. Allah wants to give us Jannah so Allah tests us. Allah wants to know who are the true believers.
