Ruined my own phone. Borrowed an A50 from a friend. She didn't have a clue what her pin number was and gave me permission to follow your instructions. So happy to get to factory reset. Unfortunately, I get so far then it asks for pin number again or use google account! She doesn't know her Google details either, as she now has an iPhone! Anyone else had this and know how to override it. I'm near, yet so far. :(

Update on this, after the Android 11 update, you'll need to plug your a50 to a usb c to your computer, turn off the a50 while still plugged in then apply the volume up and power button combination while still plugged in. It should take you to recovery mode :))

The timing is incredibly tight but I'm sure they do that as a precaution to many people brick their phones. Thank you for this upload I work at a Sprint store and this happened to my customer and I was able to help him because of this!! 👍🏻

My Galaxy a 50 boots directly to recovery no matter what and I cannot get it to select any options in that menu (yes I was using the) I can boot to the download menu with the volume button and power button and I can boot to the recovery mode with the volume button and the power button but that's it why can't I select in the recovery mode in order to start my phone and even if it's dead I plug it in and it starts directly to the recovery mode
