I really love this message but I think it's also really important to acknowledge that drug addiction and alcohol abuse are diseases and most of the time the person with the disease isn't doing it for "fun" they're doing it because they are coping with something and don't know any other way out. My brother died of an overdose Christmas of 2016 and I learned this the hard way.

I'm so sorry about your brother. It's true that many times people abuse drugs and alcohol in order to escape deep personal issues. Drug and alcohol abuse really are diseases and I would hope that more people would understand that.

Miss Blonde Ambition FINALLY! Someone who agrees that alcohol and drug addiction is a disease! I remember mentioning on twitter to a post about Demi Lovato and corrected someone when they said that it wasn’t a disease and I said that it was and I was once again told that it wasn’t! They kept saying that it wasn’t a disease because it is a choice apparently! I am so sorry for your loss! I can’t imagine how that feels!

its just so weird how like, when someone asked about the video, she was like "well i never said I didnt do that stuff" and yeah, in the video she doesnt say she's never done but she is TOTALLY acting like she is like the others girls and dont like it. she keeps nodding a lot and adding comments saying literally the opposite of what she did so that is so weird... idk, no hate on her, but i know cimorelli for 10 years, I am dani's age, and I reaaaally am not into drugs or alchohol or anything like that, so having this video when it was released warmed me up so much cause i knew they were like me, but now we know dani wasnt like that at all. it is just sad sometimes because they made this video to make people like us understand that it is totally fine to be like that and theres nothing wrong with you, even with all the pressure world puts over us. but then seeing that she pratically lied about values in such a deep way... idk. really shocked and upset about it

Lauren’s description of herself at 16:57 is literally me. i hate meeting new people and talking to people i don’t know. i have never been to a party because i’ve never invited to one. the biggest party i’ve been to was my friends 13th birthday party, and since she is like me and her parents are amazing, there was only caprisuns. but i will say that one of my fridge doors are filled with beer (my parents are not alcoholics, they barely drink them) and every time i go to that fridge i have the feeling to take one of the beers and drink it, and im 13. i always stop myself and say no never don’t. 1) you are not 21 2) drinking does not help you in anyway shape or form, it only hurts you. this video is helping me so much more because now i have amazing ideas to do when i’m bored (other than watch Cimorellis videos!). thank you so much Cimorelli!

I totally understand and appreciate everything said in this video. My mom doesn’t drink at all, however my dad enjoys the occasional beer. I think its okay in moderation, but i do agree you should never rely on a stimulant to have a good time.

i'm glad you addressed this issue, as a 17 year old i think i am one of the few people at my school class who have never drank (and honestly have 0 interest in doing so, at least now). Sometimes people make me feel left out for doing so (which is sad) but it is MY LIFE and I choose to spend it the way I want. This video meant a lot to me. Love you

When you girls were talking about how people do abuse substances I actually really related because many of my friends use alcohol and drugs to have a fun time and I'm always awkward about it. I thought I had to do the same things they did to fit in, but my family, faith, and you girls helped me realize I can be my own person and not be sucked in to the standard of letting something like drugs and alcohol control your life. Thank you and I love you all

I know this is irrelevant but if you girls see this, thank you, you've helped me through self harm and stopped me from suicide, when I ever feel that way, I listen to one more night, I cry and then cry even more when Dani says you can make it one more night, then I think, thank my lucky stars I have you girls because if I didn't I wouldn't be here today, thank you 💜💜

Wow this is crazy! I am on my 7 th day of being sober from alcohol and drugs.iv been addicted for 15 yrs(yes I'm 30& love u guys!!) It got really bad past 2 yrs I hit rock bottom and I'm trying to stay strong. I am very proud of myself for staying sober and finally wanting to this time I have never wanted to now I do and I feel like I have a future to look forward to it's just it's very hard thing! This video helped a lot and I feel like it's kind of a sign that I'm going through this right now and was having a bad moment and all sudden this popped up!!!

Most people who are actually addicted to drugs and alcohol don’t do it for fun. It’s to mask some sort of pain or to forget about life. I don’t think making up a dance is gonna help me not do drugs.

(I've never tried drugs bc I was scared of addiction and I share Kath's thoughts about being aware of what we are living and face our problems/fears/feelings, but) nobody was born addicted*. When you start and then keep doing it it is your choice. You are driven to that choice by society and your environment, but in most cases you can choose if do drugs or do something else. For example, if you don't wanna think about your problems you can still use other distractions like singing, playing music or sports (which I used to do few years ago, it was my relief from a pain I was going through) or just focus on any passion that you may have/develop. My point is that even if your choice is strongly influenced by circumstances, and it's always like that in life, it remains a choice I'm thankful to Cimorelli bc with this video they are creating a positive circumstance that could possibly help someone. *except babies born from addicted mothers maybe

I think this list was more for young teens who have a lot of friends that do party with drugs or drink all the time. Not nessesarily for someone who has been using for a long time and is addicted, in that case they would need to get proper professional help.

You do you share some good points addiction is definitely a serious disease and doing a dance is not going to help the serious disease. But this video is not aimed at people who are addicted to drinking or doing drugs. If you’re addicted to those things you should be in rehab. This video is for teenagers and anybody who just wants to have fun in a different way. This video is just a different point of view! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

This is so refreshing to hear. I’m 18 and a freshman in college and my whole Instagram feed is allllll people at parties smoking and drinking and I’m like ???? I have a small group of my best friends that don’t drink or smoke and it’s so awesome because I have the most fun with them. It’s so hard to meet new friends because everyone my age only wants to party and drink and juul so this was like so weird and refreshing to finally hear people believe the same things as me

So happy to see girls just being themselves and not doing drugs or drinking alcohol (nothing wrong with those who drink, I drink, but it’s still quite refreshing) and proud to admit it! Yas! This video is really important! Thanks for making it! My brother was taking drugs and died while in the process of getting help back in 2012. I don’t remember a whole lot of him because he was 18 years older than me I think but it really changed my family and it’s the only time I’ve seen my dad cry

I’m glad that you guys decided to say all of this stuff! People always act like not drinking is such a difficult thing to do and sometimes for some people it is but like it’s just so abnormal now when you say that you don’t drink. I’ve gotten complements and kinda rude glances thrown my way when someone finds out that I don’t drink and I don’t like to rebel. I appreciate everything y’all said! Thank you!

Two more ideas: *Learn a new language, no need to be fluent right away but just a few basic words may work and can be helpful in the future and learning can be fun! Use videos or audio for even more fun. * Join a volunteer group you get to not only help other people, but make a lot of friends at the same time, and trust me, it will keep ypu occupied if you commit to it enough 😉 I'm kinda like Lauren I hate crowded places and sometimes get super nervous about talking to other people and I don't drink alcohol for health reasons, so I try to avoid those situations whenever I can. Soo I feel ya and I know it's hard but I'm a work in progress and so can you, just don't give up 😁😊
