Bro if you think that this map design is great, takr even a glance at the map design of cs. Compared to valorant maps, there is so much more depth and intricacies in pathing and playing angles in CS. It's not even close. Good map design, sure. "best in the industry"? Not even close imo.

Yeah nah I love valo but lot of cs maps are better than valos best, dust 2 alone sweeps valo and whatever else its gonna come up with

@@liamn2030 yeah man, recently picked up CS so it’s all pretty new to me. what’s crazy is i can hop into a map i’ve never played on and clearing corners feels extremely natural. they definitely are the magnum opus of map design they’ve been doing it for over a decade. I will say tho, i said “some of the best” in the industry, not the best. Considering we don’t have a ton of options in the tac shooter genre, yeah i would say val has some of the best map design. syntax is important, friend imo.

Nothing like looking at the map each time I hear shots then randomly getting ran over by a random with a lesser weapon bc I wasn't looking.

League actually has the same light switch mindset as Valorant. The difference is that you can create the mini lull-states in League very quickly and on demand by clicking back, and that there are a lot of mini lull-states that are going to happen even if you don't try to create them.

@@professionallid yes. They shouldn’t be upset about getting shot in the back. They need to go into it with the goal of making sure they strafe between shots, doing the deadzone into strafe fighting technique, making sure they aren’t peeking with w, and focus on that stuff more than the amount of fights you get or if you get shot in the back or side. Ur only focus is on whether you did what you are practicing when you do get that fight. Nothing else matters.

@@AveryWilde real shit, i approach my deathmatches like i’m just training with bots, you can’t get tilted in DM you just gotta focus on technique and ignore the leaderboard and random deaths, treat it like the range. it’s such a powerful tool for improvement why waste it because of emotions (imagine how nice a 1v1 dual mode would be though like counter strike warmups haha)

@@ayden172 would be sick. In league I asked random people in discords and those I came across in games that were good for 1v1s, I might also do the same here for Val.

I love that he sticks with it. He's self-aware enough of his streaming persona that he's probably noticed he's using it a lot, but it gets the point across, so there's no reason to switch between 5 different words just to sound more less formulaic. He's the type of guy who very diligently chooses when to be creative, and when consistent patterns are perfectly appropriate for the job.

Since I am pretty new to valorant I think the issue comes from positioning and getting shot at from 2-3 angles at the same time, I have a lack of understanding on where to best stand and rotate during DM to avoid the 2x-3x angles.

Woohoojin did say that deathmatches exaggerate the problem. Perhaps we could drill deathmatches with a focus on always being aware/looking at the people we die to. Heck, for beginners you could even just not fire your gun and work on always facing the person who's killing you. See how often you die, then set goals to slowly decrease that number.
