It’s hard to forgive somebody who won’t apologize or even acknowledge that they have hurt you

Yes, Tina, it is very difficult. But forgiveness is not predicated on them. Our forgiveness is predicated on our Lord's mercy to us. It sets our hearts free from the spiritual prison that Satan locks us up in.

Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really loved him so much I can’t stop thinking about him, I’ve tried my very best to get him back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of him, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss him and just can’t stop thinking about him

Wow! I can't tell you how much I needed to hear this! I was literally crying and asking Jesus to help me forgive. I don't know how. I do have bitterness and have had it for a loooooong time, lots of it. But when you asked God to help us to forgive...I saw 4 faces and knew immediately that I need to keep asking God to heal me and I will be blessing them in hopes to get forgiveness and receive forgiveness. I am a broken person and want to do the right thing for God, my marriage, and my family. Thank you, Jesus, for using this preacher to give this message.

I was in a 4 year relationship and planning a future with the man I fell in love with. Never had such strong feelings for anyone else. God was speaking to me the whole 4 years and I would push it down. The lord was trying to warn me he was cheating. Since then I prayed to lord to deliver me from the pain. I started reading the Bible with the lord guidance. The lord reveled so many many realties. I sent my ex a message and told him I did not condone what he did with her but I forgive you and her. I went on to say I will ask to bless you and I would pray for them both. I know god had been dealing with him. I would send Bible verses and pray. Eventually he came to me and ask if he could tell me the truth. I said yes. I prayed for god to give me strength, guidance and calmness listen with an ear like God. He looked at me the day he was telling me everything and said, how can you be so calm and understanding. I said by the grace of god and I chose to be this way. You got to want to humble yourself. If not I believe I would have blown up cause of hurt. Thank you lord Jesus for you do in my life. ❤

If this shows a second time, I’m sorry. Your message was just what I needed today. Our marriage is in a winter season right now, I mean 50 below zero, if not more. I love my husband, regardless of our difficulties. I now realize how I need to really give him and our marriage, all to God and stop trying to force things. Lord, please help me to truly forgive, get rid of all this bitterness that I have. Lord, please forgive me for all that I have said and done, that has hurt my husband. I truly pray that you can bring your Holy Spirit in both our hearts. Help guide us and teach us your will and way. We need your healing and guidance. Lord, please, please our marriage, if it’s in your will. Thank you for forgiving me. Help me to be like you and to forgive. I know I’m asking this a few times, but I know how important this and sometimes I need a little nudge. Nudge my heart, Lord. Thank you for your grace. In your mighty name, Amen.

Foregiveness is important no doubt. But what wasn’t addressed is the repetitive nature of forgiveness in a marriage. When I forgive repeatedly, I start to hate myself because it causes me to look inward and ask “what did I do to deserve this”? Many people will “take one for the team” just because they want to be likeable (or loveable), but I believe it is much more important to love thyself.

Forgiving multiple times molds us in Christ's image. Growing in His image is what it is all about. Marriage is to represent Christ's love for His bride. How does Christ show His love for His bride? Sacrifice... dying to self... forgiveness day after day after day... Covenant.

Ask yourself: How many times has God forgiven you? How many times have you sinned against God? God is merciful! Love like Jesus loved the church and gave himself up for it. Dig deep within yourself and most importantly ask your spouse to watch this with you at all possible. I’ll be praying for you!

Love and forgiveness are important, but you must ask yourself ‘Is there abuse happening?’ ‘What is sparking the reasons forgiveness is needed?’ ‘Are you the only one forgiving?’ There are a series of more questions to ask. But those are ones to start. Because we can’t help you in the internet, I would such counseling to help you sort out what is happening. And you may go through a few therapists before you find a good one. And I may even suggest couples’ counseling to help you through those hard times because marriage is tough and forgiveness can be even tougher at times.

@dynamitenight8557
@dynamitenight8557 Жыл бұрын
Hey bud, I’m not a licensed clinician nor am I a pastor. Take my analysis with a grain of salt. That said, the issue you are referring to almost certainly isn’t about you looking at other women. Her being upset by that is likely a symptom of an insecurity in your marriage. Instead of trying to convince her you aren’t lusting after other women you may try asking her how she feels about your relationship with one another. Does she feel loved and if not, why? Does she feel wanted and if not, why? Even if you see inaccuracies in her responses just patiently listen. To her these feelings are very real. Take whatever steps are appropriate to do your part in establishing the security she needs. You may find that you aren’t doing anything wrong and this is an issue she brought in from past relationships/childhood. Sometimes partners with insecurities can project or self destruct due to unresolved trauma. Do all things through the lens of love and grace. Good luck friend.

Ask God to help you search your heart because if you aren’t lusting, then there must be a reason you are looking that you must talk to God about to help bring it to light.

@@wonderlife62I have a question. I don’t have the vocabulary to make this read delicately but know I’m coming from a place of genuine, childlike curiosity. But why do you have this perspective about God and Christianity? Like where did your animosity come from? Were you churched as a child and now have religious trauma? Did you have a terrible experience surrounding Christianity? I ask because my brother in law has the same perspective and beliefs as you. I really enjoy talking to him. We both respect each other and there’s sorta an unspoken agreement to disagree. I’ve asked him that question and he gets dodgy and uncomfortable. I heard him say once that Tele-evangelism bankrupted his elderly grandmother before she passed. That’s all he said but I can understand his frustration 100%. If you’re not comfortable sharing, I respect that. Don’t feel obligated to even respond. 😊
