I went through life not being triggered by really anything. Everything was grey, but once I got to a certain point in my Spiritual Awakening, I started to see the world differently and certain things really drive me crazy. I have realized that I am not triggered for a bad reason. I'm triggered because I care. But this video is very helpful. My triggers are showing me my wounds that I never realized I had. I'll work on healing. Thank you Christina!

Is it amazing what transformations occur during this spiritual awakening! I no longer have addictions to food and can enjoy eating again. I was always afraid I would become addicted to alcohol because of my past trauma but I realize I enjoy a small glas of wine or a mixed drink and that’s enough for me.
@HekateMaenad

Yes! I also find that the triggers got more intense after my spiritual awakening. But I found that is because I'm finally not on my own with these feelings (and outbursts they cause) and it is easier to come out of complete denial and allow myself to feel freely. So I fly off the handle when triggered. It's not bottled up anymore. Which causes my anxiety to flatten (the denied feelings aren't sitting in my solar plexus anymore) but at the same time makes being around me difficult for people who trigger me. That's the stage I'm at right now. Fortunately there aren't many people triggering me but it's not pretty when some do. I'm so grateful to Christina for explaining what is going on with me and how to heal. And it's lovely to read comments like yours that make me feel even less alone on this journey. Happy healing to you!

@Hutch Do you mean that you became more triggered seeing the suffering of the world? Because i also have that, but i am not sure of that is also a trigger. Withnessing injustice for example is a logic and healthy trigger in my current perspective. How could you not be triggered by someone beating a child for example? Perhaps the difference between a trigger and just an emotion is the way you experience it. If we can still see and handle the situation from a rational angle or if we go totally nuts... I am curious about your thoughts about it.

Was triggered this morning when my son left for school without saying goodbye! So much grief from the unhealed wound of people I love passing on without me having said goodbye. The extreme pain of the deep desire for them to know how much I love them together with the fear that I didn't do "enough" to show them. Thank you for your clarity in explaining the great opportunity that triggers bring us and the steps of the process for healing the wounds - very much appreciated. I am willing to feel everything I need to feel now! I move through the triggers and heal all wounds. Everything is okay. It's safe to feel the feelings, and the energy moves through! ✨Ding ding!✨ 💚💙💜 💛☯️💖 🧡❤️🌈

I've been working on this for almost a year on and off. Having alcoholic parents caused more wounds than I realized. When going back into the wounds, I always talk to little Marta. She was all alone (sibs were grown up) I find her often times with her fingers stuck in her ears, crouched against a wall so she can't hear them fighting. I hold her and I tell her none of it is her fault. Tears are coming now. Guess I need to heal a little more. This is not work for the faint hearted. Thank you so much for all you do. ❤️ 🙏

Just this past weekend I was triggered hard by my closest friend going quiet on me, and I was immediately in despair that our friendship was in danger. I've had a few of my closest friendships end badly and gone long spells without having a confidant and close connection in my life. I am very prone to overreacting at the slightest perceived withdrawal. I will definitely be working to heal this wound because I know it's as annoying to my friends as it is terrifying to me.

I can SO relate to close friendships ending badly & going long periods of time without having a confidant and/or close connection in my life. With abandonment wounds - the first one occurring at birth - it is entirely understandable but annoying none the less. Terrifying is the perfect description - but at 60 it's well and truly time to face the terror. Blessings for ease and joy on your journey

My biggest trigger is my dog eating poop. Oh man. Instant insanity. Also, not feeling listened to, having people say mean things to me, being frustrated, feeling trapped or stuck, being stared at by men, etc. Thank you for this video. I followed your advice from another video on breathing deeply and staying in your body while you are having an emotion and I started twitching and had a seizure! In the next few days I noticed that my legs felt connected to my body and a space opened up in my stomach that filled in over the next few days. I started having memories come up, and as long as I don't have anymore seizures I'm convinced it was healing for me. It was so powerful! You are so fantastic

I have recently been triggered and after I expressed my boundaries to a person I thought crossing my line, he got triggered and stared to act out by removing everything he believed they would make me feel insecure for not having them. So I went back on asking myself whether I had controlling issue I couldn't see which reflected back to me externally, right now I am learning to accept all the parts I see about myself and all the part I don't see about myself. I am glad you mentioned all the things I needed to know. All information is very supportive and helpful for me. Thank you.

I am also adopted, (was removed from mother at birth and spent the first 2 weeks of life alone in an orphanage) and can relate to how deeply those words would have hurt. It's perfectly normal to feel negative emotions in such circumstances and I definitely would not suppress them or repress them. They need to be felt to be healed. But I agree it is an opportunity to truly love yourself. I am learning to do the same thing myself. Blessings on your journey.

4 steps to heal triggers 1. Change your view on triggers -they are your best friends -they can show you unhealed wounds -you can heal the wounds and in turn heal your triggers 2. Recall your power -call the energy back from your wounds/triggers -use mantras “I call my energy back from this wound” -“I will not let triggers control my life anymore” 3. Go through the triggers -go through your triggers in order to see and understand the wounds -breathe through them and journal about the wound -ask questions in order to further understand your wounds -“what wound is this trigger protecting” 4. Heal your wounds -acknowledging and understanding them is step one -emotionally process the feeling associated with your wounds -feel the emotions and let them flow

As always, you call this EXACTLY for what it is! Thank you. As you told us at the beginning of the pandemic, the social distancing and other restrictions, due to the pandemic, are forcing us to look at unhealed wounds by triggering us, frequently and intensely. All my triggers this year have had to do with fear of abandonment and a lack of emotional safety. Recently, after talking to my sister about a traumatic childhood memory, I began to have a lot of C-PTSD symptoms. It triggered a whole string of other triggers and PTSD symptoms - panic while driving, nightmares, waking up afraid and not knowing why I felt that way, feeling devastated when a friend canceled a visit, feeling like I'm all alone in the world and no one has my back, etc. I am working with Janina Fisher's book, "Healing the Fragmented Selves of Trauma Survivors" with my regular therapist, I started seeing a trauma therapist who is doing EMDR with me, and I am seeing a Reiki healer to help me clear a lot of the emotions out. I have tried to do a lot of this work on my own, but my emotions are too strong and the wounds are too intense for me to do this without help. So I am getting it. I appreciate the tips you gave us that we can use when triggered. My regular therapist is also a shaman; and when he did a Divination Ceremony for me, his guides told him just what you said: to focus on summoning my own inner power.

Christina this came at such the perfect time for me! Wow! I’ve been on a healing journey for many years and these triggers keep coming up. I’m finally in a healthy loving relationship with my twin flame, I get triggered sometimes when he jokes with me or says something that reminds me of my wounds of being unworthy or the trigger will point to the feeling of being abandoned. He gets so confused because one moment we’re laughing and joking and the next minute a joke reminds me of my past and then I get so angry. I do both act out like a child & I also shut down. Then I get angry at myself for regressing in my healing journey. I start feeling like a failure , it’s this frustrating cycle that I’m working so hard on breaking .

Thank you Christina. One of the triggers I suffer with is alcoholism/alcohol. My mothers side of family has many alcoholics. When I was 5 she knew she needed help and went for treatment. She has been sober for over 30 years. My husband grew up with alcoholics. He is an alcoholic himself. He has done some not nice things when drinking. His actions of lies, cheating and unsafe choices while drinking has become a triggers for me. We have been together for 17 years. Met him when I was 18. I feel his alcoholism has created a adult trigger within me? He now has chose to become sober. Almost a month now. My other trigger is women online that have to post degrading videos. I am a very modest woman and a young breast cancer survivor. I had given birth to 2 children and my body is not the way it used to be before breast cancer. My husband and his friends share graphic photos and videos to each other. I get such a sinking feeling when I see this. Can my husband be the person who had created these triggers? This last 2 yrs I have gotten better in handling my emotions but of course the wounds haven't healed. Thank you and much love!

I'm triggered when people are mean, rude or disrespectful toward me. Mostly because I dont think to treat people that way. And my first question is WHY or WHY ME? Im still learning though that its not always personal. People project how they feel about themselves onto you in effort that if they dim your light a little bit...they can feel better about themselves. Its hard to accept but, that's just the way it is. I always go to Christina for insight and encouragement cause the world literally strips the normalcy away from being an actual human being. This triggers him so bad and he was about to explode but then YOU popped up and I sent him your link!! You get extra brightness points for today!!! Thank you for being who you are and sharing so freely with us! 🥰

I kinda feel like triggers are not only decoys, but also reminders that wounds about specific issues need to be taken care of in order to let go of that issue. The whole time you were talking about, thats what I was feeling! Thank you!! Love this! I sent this to my sis! She was having a not so fun of a time, I figured it should help her, as well!!

Bullseye Christina..... I have severe anxiety and when I noticed my response to the actual event was out of proportion, I sought help. I am now doing EMDR trauma therapy, where we actually bring up the wound to finally be processed. The part that was missing for me was taking back the energy. I will definitely use it at my next session. All your suggestions were on point with what I have learned. Only comment here - sometimes concentrating on your breath can be a trigger within itself for some trauma patients. With much love and blessings. 💗

I was triggered recently and found that the wound was feeling abandoned and I recalled the trauma, went through the emotions, also saw my inner child and said I'm here, saw myself reassure her and cuddle her and saw her face smile... I accepted that the trigger was mine and the other person was helping me recognize this trigger.

I usually withdraw as I do anything to avoid an argument ,and if somebody has overstepped my boundary I don't even want to tell them because I don't want them to react, then I start the emotional eating, I knew I did this when I feel upset but I didn't understand that I'm trying to drown my pain with food this is not healthy and now I am on a different path and I feel much better healing and not feeling ashamed of my feelings your talk was very helpful and informative thank you Christina sending love to everyone ♡

In therapy, I learned when my trigger flashes back to talk about it with trusted people or to write it in my journal. If the trigger comes up, and I emotionally react; to sit down and take a breath and list 5 things in my current environment and 3 things I'm grateful for. And it will ground my mind. If you haven't been through anything, how can you encourage or relate to someone else? I learned that the hard way. 💙🦁🐺💓 Unchecked triggers, destroy meaningful relationships. God enters, where the wound is. When the wound, is the hungry void. This is healing, that samskara.

I love how specific the last couple steps are. ☺ OH! What is my inner wound NOW? Ironically! It's TRUSTING my INTUITION. For 50 years I've managed to avoid listening to those voices that got me labeled weirdo as a child and even teachers' comments ruining my "perfect" report cards. I did everything right! But I felt like just BEING I was WRONG. 😕

I just love this. Thank you Christina. I have been wrestling with a trigger for the past two days due to a conversation where someone pointed out something about me in a humiliating way. This person knows that it is something I am working on but struggling with. I have been trying to talk myself through it since then and also asked for help from my guides. Then this video pops up answering my questions.

I was triggered about a month ago. It was a big one. I ran🤦‍♀️because I try not to flip out and cause someone else detriment if I vocalized anger. Mine are basically panic. I've actually had triggers big enough to black out. Once I was alone I asked myself what is this trying to show me. It's the first time I realized in many decades that my mother was a narcissist instead of just an alcoholic. The N pattern followed through my life. Now, I'm armed with priceless knowledge and the healing can finally begin.

I am so thankful for this video, and all of your videos, and all of the gurus videos. I wanted to share that today. I had a trigger, and I didn’t know how to find the wound. This is after maybe knowing so much information that I should know by now, so I knew to go back to Christina‘s video here And I know by the end of it I’m going to remember how to do it and I am trying to lean into the pain. I love you all. We are all one we all need to get to know ourselves and love ourselves make it priority.❤

Thank you, Christina. I need to heal the wound that it triggered by being blamed for everything by my husband and my mother-in-law. I swear that she thinks I am responsible for anything bad that has ever happened in the world, and I get triggered EVERY time! Last weekend, I made a drink at 9:45 am when she started blaming me for something. I am not someone who normally drinks in the morning, but I felt so much rage inside that I wanted to smack her. So instead, I went downstairs and added vodka to my pineapple juice.

I was actually triggered about 5 minutes before I watched this video and didn't recognise what it was until I got I to the video and you started talking about withdrawal, because that's what I do. I felt better by the time I finished it, and now I can start working on these triggers. Talk about timing! I did recently ask to see things that I was unaware of that needed to be healed so I don't think this was a coincidence! I am grateful for you everyday Tina, your videos are truly helpful in so many ways! Thank you!

I needed to hear this today. My current trigger was letting people mistreat me and not setting healthy boundaries. This core wound is my belief that I needed to let men or anyone really, treat me however they wanted in order to receive love. I am telling myself that I deserve respect and love without the mistreatment. I know I have more work to do on this wound, but I am thankful for your advice so I can begin to see what is going on. Thanks again for all you do.

Right when I got triggered, this video popped up. It’s like God sent it directly to me to help me through my trigger. Anything surrounding my mom and how she still tries to control me, triggers me. I’ve never had a good relationship with her and I still don’t. I’m often stuck with how to get along with her. She’s the person that caused my wounds so she easily triggers me. It’s a battle that I hope to win soon. Thank you Christina for your videos. They help a lot! 🤍
