I had unwittingly touched on this concept when introducing my dog to my stepdaughter dog when I had to take him in. He was very aggressive and within threeish days the two dogs became good pals. I just thought once me & Gunzo were out on leash I just had to discipline him when his bubble was intruded upon. I hadn't realized I was applying bubble theory albeit badly. After my previous experience my intuition is telling me how much this makes sense. Thank you.

So why is it that so many KZfaqrs show the exact methods that you mention and why do the owners all of a sudden actually seem to listen to those people? Am trying Susan Garrett's positive interrupter method at the moment - 3 weeks of conditioning it BEFORE actually using it officially to get their attention away from the trigger. The up down and engage disengage games help too. My dog will listen (i.e. do the exercises am wanting her to do, she just vocalizes when another dog is around - her bark is like nails on a chalkboard). Have tried the removal technique in group classes which tends to work if puppy push ups and break the stare isn't working. TY for this video.
