My question is regarding Reflective heat transfer sheet. The problem is once its washed, looks like the print is loosing its reflective ability (NOT peeling off, print area is intact still) Is it due to washing conditions or it isnit pressed properly? I think I press it like 3 to 5 sec, should I press for 10-15 sec to avoid it? Or its just due to wash?

Does transfer vinyl usually come with a clear backing?

Saige Mills all HTV have a plastic laminate on the front. Some have a paper backing and others have no backing at all.

I am having a black vinyl too but where do you get that easy wave vinyl or that transparent paper attached name & number

Your standard Siser or Thermoflex vinyl will have the clear backing. The numbers were cut on our plotter.

Not necessarily. You could always purchase vinyl already cut from Stahls.com

Can you use any type of t-shirt ?

Any will do, but you have to select the appropriate HTV. For the most part, Gildan is a good one, Alternative Apparel, Bella Canvas to name a few.

Thanks for video…my brain is not processing why my letters are backwards. I was told to lay down shiny side of vinyl on mat when cutting but when I do this the letters are fine but when I go to lay on T. it’s going to be backwards. What I’m I doing incorrectly. Thanks

Bit late to the game😂 but how do you know how long you have to heat press designs from small design to full tshirt size???

The vinyl manufacturer will have recommended temps, pressure, and time. I generally do 315º for 10-15 seconds with a firm pressure.

Sounds like you need more heat and the vinyl isn't adhering to the garment.

You'll more than likely melt the plastic and it will stick to the iron.

If done properly, it'll outlast the shirt.
