I love it. Years ago, there was a time when I was so focused training it, that even would lose a 2-2 10-11 point in tournament for trying to hit an around the net. It's a lovely feeling when you get a nice roller. Even more with the backhand. I don't get them always at all, but I get some. Greeting from Argentina, I went to see you when you came.

In my work I only play with the beginner's equipment with no grip at all, and I am constantly hitting the white stripe in the back. I feel that if I had a better racket I could get more accurate and miss less stupid points. But it's funny to see my friends getting crazy all the times I hit the white stripe of even the edge, but it doesn't worth the risk of losing stupid points as I am also used to.

Adam, This video was so helpful to learn how to do the around the net shot, but in this one you are teaching how to do the FOREHAND around the net shot. Can you do the same video, analyzing the right movement to do the BACKHAND around the net shot? It will help me so much, because I tried it many times watching your backhand A.T.N. (Around The Net), but I never did it like you. Was like in this video, when you told that we have to take the ball low, or it just bounces to the table. I took it low, but maybe the contact was wrong. And my racket was professional (3 Star: Stiga Tactic: Speed: 85% Spin: 70% Control:63%). So, please, do a video on the Backhand around the net shot ( Correct contact, feet position,........) Your Big Fan Greek Subscriber and Attending your Answer or Video (please, do the video)

For almost all my life I thought, during the servings, the ball must exit the table trough the adversary bottom line. Although watching Bobrow videos I learned It is not. Thanks @Adam Bobrow

In South America the first ones that introduced that shot were the Brazilian penholders Claudio Kano and Hugo Hoyama. That's why that shot was called around 2000, "La Brasilera"
