InfinityFree currently support PHP application server. Due to cost, it does not have Node.js in the back-end. I hope it will support Node.js in the feature. The node-modules is just a folder containing JavaScript packages, and Node modules that your projects depend on. Whenever you use the command "npm install ", it will install the package or dependency in the node-modules folder locally. This folder is created in the development phase only. When you build a project, it will not created, and there is no need to create this folder in the webserver from the hosting provider as well.

Thank you for sharing your experience. There is a solution you can use a dedicated FTP client program to upload the whole website to the webserver at one. FileZilla Client is a FTP client program that is an open source piece of software and free. You can download it from this URL: filezilla-project.org. You might check the path of the CSS files. For local CSS files, you should use relative paths instead of absolute paths. Open the developer tool in the browser.

If you use client side routing (React, Angular, Vue, etc.), it works. If you use server side routing, you need to implement a PHP routing system, or use routing form a PHP frame work such Laravel because Infinity Free currently supports PHP only. :)
