Thrift stores are great for picking up vases, serving dishes, utensils, etc. I typically purchase white/neutral items to be cohesive. Depending on your theme or potentially altering your theme/decor to work with what you find too. It’s very easy to save $$ and keep to a budget if you look in the right places:) Happy new year and stay safe!

One thing I do is with our friends is okay left right center with dollar bills or even one time we did it with 5s it’s fun takes a while and also someone wins money lol always fun and I think people look forward to it lol

What? Every time we host diners all our friends split on grocery ingredients because it can be EXPENSIVE. The income of each person doesn't change the fact who should pay the most... especially if you're getting decor and stuff, everyone should pitch in.
