Silk is a fabric that was originally made from silkworm cocoons. Silk filament thread is commonly used in the production of clothing, fabrics and other textiles that come with a soft and shimmering aesthetic.
We will show you how to identify the genuine silk.
First, Ring Test.
If you have a light-weight silk fabric, pull it through a ring. If it can easily be threaded and pulled through, it's real silk.
Second, Burn Test.
Scorched silk fiber is black and there will be a hard, black knot at the end of the thread that you can crumble between your fingers. Burnt silk smells like burnt hair.
After this two ways, do you know how to tell if your silk is real. Let us know:)
