Even though it's a year later and you've probably already figured it out, however that bubble was not your building space bubble. It was your building camera bubble, all you had to do was get closer and it wouldn't be a problem. Because you can have your base build up to about 1,000 Units from the Base Computer, the way you get your zone bigger is when it says out of range just go back a little bit build a piece of building and it would grow bigger

If anyone can’t find the candelabra bloom You have to buy it from the space anomaly

Excellent. The only mistake in your video has is that you apologized for the length. It's as if a chef brought you a delicious meal and apologized for giving you too much. XD

The red text below the build menu is tough to see but it was telling you, you were to close when placing the teleporter. Not sure why we have to be so far away now though. Oh, same thing with wires if your ship is to close... A right pain but easy to rectify. Great work on the explanations, like your work 👍

I love the idea of using glowing plants as lighting. Very cool. Do you just pick them up out in the wild?

Help! This is a great series of videos. In fact, I find that the majority of vids are very helpful. At the end you say that we will be powering up the base in the next video, but I need help with is finding the next video in this series. I think I've checked all of the videos in the playlist but couldn't find it. Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Awesome build!!! You should use or make an lower platform/ flooring lower down the cliff for the cylinders to sit on. Use the angled pieces as support on the bottom side of the floor/ platform to make it look structurally accurate and a cool detail.

I’m having trouble with the moon pools on the landing pads. One of them is perfect but when I try place one on the other one, a hexagon appears in the circle and I can’t get rid of it. Please help

I replicate your hex base on my planet and looks beautiful

One of my new (old) favorite tricks to light a base is to lay down a light floor first, then wire it. When you're done with that, put a basic floor over it. It won't snap to anything, so you're going to have to use free placement on the first one. Lay the basic floor over the light floor, then snap the rest to that one. You'll cover the floor with the material of your choice, and the light from the light floor (when wired to a power source) will bleed through the floor, lighting your base. The real trick is to get that first floor panel down properly, and squarely. Once you've managed that, it gets easy. If you've laid the floors down before you built any walls, it's important to know that the walls will try to snap to BOTH floor pieces. Choose the higher snap point, and there wont be any bumps in your buildings, or non-level floors that you didn't intend.

Building the Portal its not bugged they have devs set the placement distance to that range. If anyone is having issues exit the build menu and move back a few feet from where your trying to build it.

Great stuff DDG I found a white grass planet and I been building along with you. It's going to be a amazing base when done. On the landing pad light is that the wire glitch method. Because I'm on console so no Q button for me lol. Yeah portal placement is bugged af. I built a base on a mountain over the water. I used roof ramps and half arches to make it look like it's anchored in the mountain 🐱

The new "Lamp Post" doesn't require any power, or cyto-phosphate, and gives a nice mellow pool of illumination that is less harsh than the candelabra bloom.

With the landing pad over the ocean could you use some pipes, rotate them to and angle and stick them into the side of the land mass? I've done that with other buildings. The pipe worked well as a support beam looking thing.

Your videos are great. Played NMS for a while now but i duck st badrbuilding so i always use the boring prefab modules bcuz its easy. Looking forward to the power part. Never figuered that pice out

I love this series! It makes it easy for the amateur builders. I hav one problem though. The moon pool floor, on one side it’s correct on the other the floor show up and I can’t get the timber floor to cover it. Any solutions? I’ve started over three times with no luck.

I liked using the Moon Pool on Pads better when it didn't make a Ring stand proud of the Deck, still a good technique.

Can you still do the moon pool wire glitch? It says on my screen cannot build must attach to structure.

If you turn off snap placement, you can put the blooms in the middle of a wall!! They are STILL the best light source!!

5:10 - don't you get detatched and super long legs on the moon pool floors after reloading? They used to be great pre Frontiers, but in my hotel they now have really long legs sticking out of the side of the place. Legs will stop slightly after hitting other base parts just when placing them, but after reloading that's not the case. 10 meters from the moon pool floor the legs begin and keep going 50 meters or so.

Is there a way to invert the candelabra bloom to look like a chandelier?

Isn't there a copy command somewhere now? I thought I saw one somewhere... With it you can make copies of something you've resized so you don't have to guess. I haven't built much yet since the patch and haven't played in a couple days, so sorry for being hazy on this.
