For all y'all wondering what JPG image is a decent fit, anything around 520x325 fits. Atleast thats what works in my 5-inch display for my 2016 civic lx

I also have a 2014 Honda Civic SI and I don't have the options for the wallpaper in my iMid. Could it be possible that I can't upload wallpapers on my iMid? Another question, although it doesn't have anything to do with wallpapers, is it possible to change the colors of the gauge system where the speedometer and odometer are, or is the only color we can put is red?

This is awesome. I never knew I could do this. I added a photoshoped honda pic I made of the logo in orange with a background of black in my 2014 Civic LX, because the only size that I seemed to be able to fit on my screen is a 360x360 pixel JPEG image. This image selection is picky as hell. One random image I had was able to show on my screen at a size of 664W X 374H in pixels, but when I went to customize it with a Honda logo(the file size then being even lower than the previous image due to less complex pixels), it wouldn't read the new image (even though it's the exact same size as the previous one). Oh well. Aside from that I was wondering if there is a way to change the color of the mph/odometer? Mine is the default color of blue, but I would love to have orange. I don't know if it may be a matter of changing the color of one of the connectors in the fuse box, or if it's in the actual dashboard itself, but it would be really cool if I could change it to color match my car.

I have a 2014 Honda Civic LX and I went through this whole tutorial process with no trouble BUT when it's done, the wallpaper just NEVER SHOWS UP on the screen! It stays the same default plain color scheme as it started with. I know I was able to import the image file fine because during the import process, it displays the image just fine.

I have a 2016 Honda Civic LX. I used to have the clock face showing on my LCD Screen. I must have touched something wrong and I lost it. All I have now is just the small digital clock version displayed in the upper right-hand corner. My Wallpaper is currently check marked to show the clock face, but the clock face version does not display. How can I find the clock face version again? This doesn't make any sense. Got any ideas?

On the 2015 Civic EX, Display Setup gives you different options, how exactly would you go about changing the wallpaper on the "i-MID" screen?

Probably same as how it’s done on the LX cause LX doesn’t have that screen I don’t think. Just volume knob and buttons.

Those specs should be in your manual. I'm doing this for my Dad, who just got a 2015 Accord. For his model, the size range is from 420x234 up to 1680x936. If your image is smaller than the minimum, the display will center it with blank space around it. I'll just go for the maximum size from some color hi-resolution images. If you have Windows, you can edit your image in Paint.exe to the maximum size - you'll see the image size in the info bar at the bottom of the window. The manual doesn't indicate the color abilities of the display, but from this video it looks like it will handle color images pretty well.

Can you not upload wallpapers to the iMid screen in the EX model? I was able to upload wallpapers to the audio center screen but there is no option to upload to the imid screen in customize settings. I'm using the same USB port in the center console like you did in the video too.

I have a 2014... This is why I can't have two wallpapers displayed on iMid and center audio screen... You would think they would have kept the double wallpaper option in the newer model... What the heck Honda?? Oh welll I guess its not that big of a deal.

What year is your Civic? and does your vehicle have a Navi/Display Audio screen? The 2013 models were capable of customizing wallpapers on both the iMid and Navi/Display Audio displays, this changed in 2014 to only one display being able to customize. Either the iMid(if only dispay) or Navi/Display Audio(if two displays). If you have two displays, Your only option is to customize your wallpaper on your largest display. If you only have one display on a 2012-2014, consult your nearest Honda dealership as to why the field is empty.

Yes! Both the 2012-2014 Civic LX and Accord LX come standard with iMid displays above the instrument cluster capable of custom wallpapers.

I just got a 14 Civic Si and cant seem to set my wallpaper. It tells me that the file type is not supported, but im using a .jpg..... Also, can you put a wallpaper on the iMID next to the speedometer display on the Si?

Hey MrMK94 is it possible the file you are trying to upload is too large? make sure the file is either BMP or JPG, is not in a folder and is in the usb drive's root directory, Also, check the dimensions on the file and reference your owners manual to see if the file you are uploading meets file size/dimensions requirements. Also, the 2014 Civic Si with 2 displays will only allow wallpaper customization on the largest display. Let us know if this works, we currently do not have an SI on our lot to test.

I just got a 14 si as well and I can't figure it out I don't even get the options to add a walpaper with the flash drive in the center console. if I put it in the media USB port by the hdmi slot the head unit can find the pictures no problem but I can't figure out how to change that wall paper either.... if anyone can help that would be awesome!

Mossy Honda Lemon Grove so I have just got the Honda ex, I can't have a background in the small screen cause of ex? That stinks cause the small screen is the one that stays on a clock, large screen always says the audio stuff (cd radio station whatever) so basically I never really get to use that wallpaper option :(

I just bought a 2014 Civic Touring and it doesn't have those options like import wallpaper, delete wallpaper, etc. Is it not possible to load it up there with the Touring or is there just different buttons?

have you tried using the menu button on your steering wheel to navigate to your clock/wallpaper/display settings?

Mossy Honda Lemon Grove Yes, I've tried that. I can only get the image on the centre display, but not up to the dash area. On the steering wheel options, I have no buttons such as import wallpaper, select wallpaper, etc. I am wondering if that option is just not on the touring? It seems strange you can put it up on that screen for the other models, but not for the 2014 touring.

Msvanessabutterfly All Honda vehicles with dash mounted i-MID and center console mounted Media Displays only allow for customized wallpaper display on the Media Display/Navi Display in the center console and not the I-MID. Only vehicles equipped with the single I-MID screen are able to upload wallpapers to the I-MID display.

Unfortunately Honda iMid and Media Screens only accept BMP and JPEG file types. Maybe Honda thought animated images/screens would be too distracting for drivers?

From what iv read on a forum, you cant when your car comes equip with dual screens such as imid and radio/navi screen. You can ONLY use the radio/navi screen for backgrounds

Martin acevedo damn, yeah im able to get it on the middle screen, just wish I can get it on the imid. Make no sense since on the imid there a specific slide for a picture
