OMG, your tutorials are simply amazing. With work desktops within the years and my new personal laptop, have worked with many versions of excel. Being the novice user and only reactive to unforeseen problems, your videos really have on multiple occasions given me the exact solution, thank you! (This time, the Text Legacy in the Options Menu is priceless) My new Office Excel version would only import a generated text file of about 2000 employees database into power query mode, which renders errors, therefore making my file incomplete, or useless to a novice user who can't quite reap the benefits of the queries' abilities. It takes me years just to get used to a feature, and companies like microsoft completely hides away the feature with a new and improved version. Since i don't have the patience nor the knowledge to learn new tools (and old tools wasn't broke in the first place), you are a lifesaver! Excel is indeed more fun.

I remember using the legacy text import wizard, it wasn't too bad back in the day but compared to what you can achieve with power query I wouldn't want to go back to the old way.

Thanks Mike! I had no idea about the legacy option, I am using Excel 365 and recently needed to import text expecting the Text Wizard and Excel presented me with Power Query. I was lost until I watched your PQ series. It’s handy to know the legacy option is there. Thanks for the video it was short but sweet.

Thanks fot the video, when I load the Text File excel is loading the names in columns (A,B,C ...) rather than (1,2,3...) how I can change this import setting to have these names in columns 1,2,3 .. etc? Thanks

Hey Mike Plz. help and i hope u will do. How to remove unwanted vertical spaces in only VBE(Visual Basic Editor). For ex: I write a code(syntax). After 4 lines i wrote another code after 6 lines i wrote another code and so on. Now i want remove all unwanted vertical @t that the whole code looks without vertical @t there any shortcut key Because it's take much time to remove unwanted vertical spaces.
