I do enjoy your lessons I'm self taught and gave up playing 16yrs ago and started playing again 16mnth ago still building embouchure , this time no teeth, my problem seems to be endurance I'm hoping this will solve itself in time. I've never read a note of music and I practised Jack Teagarden and Chris Barber, putting these two together with my own style is starting to be very interesting

Also, as an exercise for your students, try to utilise1/2 step resolution, upper register usage and rhythmic variety throughout.

13:05 this sequence would be a good candidate for twice as fast. And the revision too.

Very subjective in the side stepping 2-5-1 examples. The first example is very bitter, but some people like black coffee so there's an audience that will love this sidestep. The second is very sweet. Some people like some sugar in their coffee so they'll vibe with the second example. Those rests really give the audience time to digest. Letting them sip the coffee instead of throwing the pot down their throats.

Very useful Shawn. Is there a progression through your videos that you would suggest?

That is a great idea. Unfortunately, I don't' have them set up that way right now. Maybe in the future I'll put some together that are set up in that fashion. Thanks for checking out them out!
