Most of ya'll know how we feel about our all new Can-Am Maverick R - we love the performance (although it could use a little shock tuning) and we think the fit and finish is terrible. None of the plastics fit, half the latches don't work, and pieces sort of just fall off. BUT, all of that aside, it's a blast off road - on the trails and in the dirt & sand. Our major concern, though, is a rollover and whether or not the factory cage can withstand a serious roll. So we went to UTV Pros to build us one that would...you know, just in case.

Sorry to see Chris go, but it is nice to see more of Brittany and Kevin! I had just accepted the loss of your personal excitement as a natural effect of the channel’s growing maturity. Just a wild thought here… it would be wonderful if Chris could have a companion show like big tire garage, that would do a weekly segment under the lite-brite banner.

Stock cages on side x sides are great if you wanna take your pet giraffe 🦒 for a ride. It was the first thing I did to my RZR and they look so much better with low cages.

It's alot more than 35,000.. we just payed 44,000 for ours with the smart shocks. We absolutely love ours. There are certain areas that fit and finish isn't great but nothing like they are complaining about. My polaris had fit and finish issues as well. The car is amazing mabey they got a lemon I don't know.

The RS 1.5 cage welds look terrible. I'm sorry, but those welds would not pass through my son's shop. They welds on yours looks way better tho.

The welds on the RS1.5 are top notch. Honestly they can’t get much better using MIG. Most people don’t want to pay for TIG. Thanks for 👍 on the Maverick R!

It’s a shame the shop couldn’t do something about those ridiculous upper front A arms and spindles..no amount of suspension performance is worth how horrible they look. It just looks like Can Am was trying to look creative and completely missed the mark.

So that’s what proper geometry looks like..seems like there are hundreds of variations of a traditional double A arm designs that work perfectly without violating any patients or have poor upper arm geometry..lol That looks like the typical engineer that’s trying to reinvent the wheel with some ground breaking design ..I’m betting that spindle / upper arm configuration goes away along with the dipshit who dreamt it up. @@Kyle-fu6en

They’re not “trying to look creative”, it’s a functional design that has real world practicality. They track and handle like they’re on rails with zero body roll.

@@downbytheriver501 I watched the UTV KOH this morning and all the CanAm guys that started loosing air pressure had to deal with their tires hitting that stupid arm/spindle configuration…a was only a matter of time before they trashed a tire. Such an unnecessarily over engineered design.
