If you don’t have a strong work ethic, I can’t work with you. Here’s why. If you don’t have a strong work ethic, you’re not going to give the highest return possible on the knowledge and skill passed on to you. Why should I put time into you if the duplication part is not going to return?
So in this video I get into 15 ways to improve your work ethic.

@TeacherHG

My takeaways: 1. Be predictable- You are showing up everyday. Momentum is very crucial in being productive. 2. Consistency You keep on showing up. Your effort will be compounding. 3. Preparation. "The most prepared man wins." Everything is all about preparation. 4. Do more. Always do a little bit more. 5. Subscribe to the "Now Mentality" Do it now. Why wait tomorrow? Don't Procastrinate. 6. Find a running mate. You need someone to motivate you when you think you cannot do it anymore. 7. Don't fall for a work smart behavior. Do your commitment. Challenge your excuses. 8. Cut Distractions. Get rid of the things that distract you with your goal. 9. Absolute Focus. Train your mind to focus. Stop making excuses. 10. Have to do list. 11. Eat right. Be healty enough to meet your goals. 12. Plug the leaks. Know all things that wasting your time. 13. Cut the fat. Fat- work that you can delegate or no connections with your goal. be productive. 14. Drop perfection. - Do something or regret. 15. To avoid burnout. Do something that could refresh your mind, body and even spirit to be productive again. Work hard andreward yourself. Work ethic moral.

One lesson i learned from my small experience, is that u can't have days off, if u are at ur limit u can take a short period of time where u work less but don't stop working, building a strong habit and momentum is like pushing a giant round rock, to make it start rolling u need an insane amount of effort but once it starts rolling u need less strength to keep it moving, if u make it slow down it's still easy to make it regain the speed but the important thing is to not let it stop otherwise u are back at square one.

"Drop Perfection"s advice can also be comunicated as "Do it, even if you do it badly. Because it's the first time, it's going to be awful no matter what, since you have no experience. It's normal. So instead of not even doing it, do it but do it badly. That's better than nothing." It's similar to drawing a rough sketch of something. It's at least something. (From Jordan B. Peterson's Lessons on KZfaq)

“Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not. My degree is very mathy, with noombers, and my mind is always filled with euphoria whilst simultaneously melting out of my ears. Drop perfection. I really liked this point and I've never heard anyone else cover it in this way. Literally happens to me with my university essays. I don't want to start them - because everytime I do start them I know I'll be up until 6am perfecting them. Then what happens is they get left to the last minute and suddenly I have 3 to do in one night and I rush them all so much they're poor. Whereas, if I just do them as they come and get them done - they might not be perfect but they'll be very good and much better than a night before job.

Currently working on this since 3+ years and I is a hard and painful journey especially when everyone around me tells me to stop working so hard. I failed many many times, slept in many times. But I'm making progress. I have the right habits in place. And these steps really helped me a lot. Thank you for your time & effort pat it is highly appreciated!

Thank you for this. I’m no longer an entrepreneur however I have achieved many goals in my life and career! Here are some of them. Learning to sing, teaching myself to read music when I was about 5 as no one around me could teach me after playing by ear which comes very whilst listening to as many different records as I could. I used to ask if I could look through and listen to records from other people’s collections whenever I got to visit my real family to find new artists that I hadn’t heard of as there was no internet, KZfaq, Spotify or iTunes. I was extremely happy to sit with giant headphones on listening to anything and everything. As a teenager I’d go to record shops to go through 1000’s of records. I spent a lot of time in HMV Oxford Street, London listening to tracks in booths! I memorised every album cover and the track orders. I managed to control my anxiety enough in order to perform well and earn money every weekend to feed my family for 25 years. At school when asked what did I want to be when I grow up I used to say I want to be a singer I was laughed and sniggered at. I loved bumping into teachers/pupils years later because they’d always ask “what are doing now?” and I’d say I’m working and earning very good money as a vocalist. I achieved my goal! I’m still my worst critic and I have to try and forget about perfection as it’s not possible! Music became my career, my escape and my reward. Sadly my singing career is currently finished but not over. I’m now working in a refrigerated warehouse working for the biggest U.K. supermarket chain. It’s not great as it’s a hostile “dog eat dog” environment but it’s what I have to do right now in order to survive. I do apply my work ethic everyday that I’m there. I constantly refer back to it and try not to get distracted by the vast amount of people there who do not meet my work ethic and stay focused on my own. I have ptsd and my organisation skills are not great which has affected my performance in my new job. It was so bad that my employer started their process of elimination. So I now I have to think and prepare, I prepare for the next shift just before I leave the current one by leaving the tools I need to do my job in exactly the same place so I know they are there ready. It has removed some of the anxiety and self doubt that I battle with every day. My mother had psychosis and I was sadly taken away from her and my dad and put into care via court order at 9 months. I remained in care until I was about 7 and abused mentally and physically by both my foster parents who are now dead and therefore got away with it. (thankfully my real parents never gave up on me or my sister and fought to get us back!) so I don’t know if I’ll ever remove all all of it because the blame and shame of telling yourself it’s all your fault for as long as you can remember is so deep routed but I CAN remove some of it. I will not let the abusers continue to destroy or ruin the rest of my life and I mentally fight with those little demons that tell me I’m crap and that no one likes or wants you every day. Ive started to arrive earlier and my personal performance is improving. I’m not doing it for my employer, I’m doing it for me. BOOM! I remind myself every day that you have wade through mud to get to the cleaner, fresher waters. Music is still my escape and reward. When I’m on my break I listen to music in my car, be it Mozart or Rage Against The Machine. I choose whatever track my brain decides it needs that day and put it on repeat for a while. Recently it’s been Shake It Off by Taylor Swift as people still laugh and snigger! It’s been on repeat for at least a week as things have been really bad recently. I’ve been verbally abused quite a lot at work recently. I try to have a thick skin but it doesn’t always work! My new goal is to do get into backing vocals. Aiming to provide backing vocals on artists recorded tracks or at live gigs if and when they’re ever allowed again. Thank you again for reminding me of these pointers. I still get a bit lost some days and lose my focus which allows the mind gremlins to come back and talk to me so I’ll come back to watch and listen again in order to keep them at bay. Once again, thank you! Xxxx

I just hit 600% of my quota because unlike my colleagues who clock out exactly at 5 and in exactly at 8, I worked at least 50% more than that (12 hours minimum ). And I still have 5 months to go. Last year I hit 3775% of my quota. ( my company tripled my quota after last year’s result otherwise I would already be at 7000% quota right now for this year). Hard work!

Thank you Patrick for this video. This is definitely a subject that needs to be talked about. A lot of people want to build a lifestyle business and have everything automated and only work 20 hours a week their first year in business and make millions of dollars. While all that is sexy it really isn't realistic when your first getting started. The 4 hour work week is something that comes later on after you've consistently taken action over a period of time. Again you still have to put in the 12 hour days to get everything going at first. The people that have gotten to the 100 million dollar level got there by taking consistent action for years.

Your videos always depress the heck out of me b/c I see how I've fallen short and I'm usually 50/50 whether I can take it to the next level. But it always resonates despite feeling overwhelmed. But also with each video the feeling of defeatism recedes a bit, a bit more each time. I did a 6-day writing productivity challenge, trying to hit a word count each day, and I managed it but it was HARD hitting it each day. It was only my obsession with always finishing something that pulled me through. This is useful for everyone, not just sales. Thanks for the teaching.

One day I am going to give credits to you for me being successful and rich. One day I will be in front of you say " BECAUSE OF YOU I MADE IT". Many things you tell about yourself and teach resonates with me. And the one place where you explained that you stayed in office and worked whole night and went back to read and sleep, that does'nt seem boring to me. Long term goals are more exciting than short term pleasure. I find myself in same situation when others are out there partying every weekend and I am investing my time in working on my business. And yeah i do believe that you had dinner with presidents and celebrities and CEOs. Life is lot sweeter that way. Thank you so much for being a hope and motivation for all young entrepreneurs. Wow! I've been subscribed for a couple years now and I've never seen this video. However it appeared in my newsfeed just before I watched. I'm so lost. Up late as evidenced by this comment just feeling like my life has passed me by. I'm in my early 50s and no retirement to date yet I'm holding on to (( the FACT that BEFORE I turn 60 years old I WILL BE )) a wealthy person. So I can leave an inheritance to my sons. I'm so lost that I don't care about my life but (( I WILL find )) myself during the journey. The information in this video seems ridiculously simple yet it's powerfully profound! I've watched so many self help videos and entrepreneurial videos yet none have rendered down and explained in this manner... maybe someone else would think this video is no big deal but for whatever reason this resonates into my very core. Thank you so much ✨️💖🙏💖✨️ (( edited to manifest the power of WILL ))

@@VALUETAINMENT Where do I begin?! For starters, this is my 3rd time watching it today. The 2nd time I took extensive notes lol. You started by dissecting the origins of the word phrase and it made me think so much more about what I want my business to be and how far I could possibly go with it. The entire video was a strong motivational speech with fun stories and applied reasoning. Alot of the concepts and questions I've toyed with answering and doing (like I know what needs to be done but didn't actually get to work.) Today I started off the day with this video and actually applied many of the techniques such as, don't wait until tomorrow, be consistent, sometimes working harder is just as effective as working smarter, align yourself with people who are as passionate as you, call call call, do it now, eat right, don't get side tracked, stay focused. Today I went to look at potential properties, I spoke to a person in retail who knows the area and the market, I spoke to multiple realtors, made two meetings today on the spot, I refined my business plan and strategy, I revised my todo list, and I let go of the need for perfection and just took the shot. Multiple shots. Made connections. Usually I'm super afraid of these things...for what reason I still don't know, but I did it. Now I have a realtor, a new investor, and a mentor all in one day! Next is writing game plan to dissect and correct my poor behaviors.
