One way I saw real improvement in my speaking was listening to the same stuff repeatedly. It's the foundation used in so many "step by step learning English" self learning programs since vinyl record was invented, passing through cassette tapes, CDs and now mp3/steaming online. Love your accent and the work you have been made all these years. I Hope one day I can contribute financially to you 'cause you helped me a lot in different moments, not only with my English improvement as well as in my personal life. Cheers from Brazil!

One thing I really love about Jade's speaking is that she uses her eyes. They are very expressive and do affect my interpretation of her speech. I've noticed this in many of the English, and even with the Welsh and some Scots. And as always, fascinating and very informative video!

Hello Jade. It has been a very long time since you have been among the English teachers I learned English from when I really started learning English 9 years ago. I have changed from someone who couldn't understand anything about English to using English for work on a daily basis. You are absolutely an excellent teacher. Thank you for your sharing. I hope everything goes well for you. Keep up your amazing work!

Hello Jade! My name Is Ivan, and I'm from Italy. i Always Watch your videos with great pleasure, because they treat subjects which do not seem to be covered by other teachers. As far as I'm concerned, i do find your advice to Watch English Period Dramas a good One, as I have myself the the same passion for them. As you rightly pointed out the actors in the episodes speak outstandingly well, and most of them sound posh!!. I also noticed that people nowadays don't speak as clearly as they used to. I've got a keen interest in the British accent, and I frequently Watch videos about RP which Is nowadays unfortunately way more kept in the highest rank overseas Than in England. I look forward to seeing more videos like this!! Thank you!! Have a good day Best Regards Ivan!!

Yes, I will write no matter how far away: you are very beautiful. I don't know you at all, I only know you from these lesson videos. It seems to me that you are a very naive, gentle, sensitive person. Your posture and tone of voice tell me so. You are a woman to fall in love with. Really. Thank you if you read it.

“Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.” Many times in the past, I've been surprised by the sound of my recorded voice. In the same way that people do not truly listen to each other, maybe we don't hear ourselves when we speak 🤔 Maybe those seeking to enhance their English accents would benefit from recording their own practice sessions 🤔 (Nobody wants to listen to what I sound like when I sing in the shower ~ that much I know for sure😄)

Just watching movies will not help you improve your accent. Yes, you’ll enrich your vocabulary and your comprehension skills will get better, but not your accent. To improve your accent, watching is not good enough - you have to speak. ‘Listen and repeat’ is a good exercise. Record yourself. Work separately on those of your sounds that don’t sound right. You can easily find videos on the Internet on how a particular sound is formed (how to pronounce it correctly).

One thing I've noticed as a French is the stubborn tendency to pronunce the words as they'd be pronunced with the French alphabet no matter what, despite the glaring differences between the 2 alphabets; as an exemple they always pronunce Francis (Ford Coppola)/Frances (Tiafoe, American tennis player) backwards, 'Francis' the same way as in French since it's written the same and 'Frances' closer to 'Francis' in American, when it's actually closer to the French way due to the English 'e' being pronunced as the French 'i' 😅
