Dude. I did this. After 20 years of mixing without scratching I followed your tutorial and now I can actually close the cross fader correctly on the push. I thought this whole time I was supposed to close on the pull. Your hands really do move in opposite. I just imagined pulling apart some booty cheeks

Yo what’s good @DJLiftOFF and community!! I’m a beginner and I’m learning on the Rane 12’s. Starting out do I want to be learning while using the high torque setting on the motor? Also I really like the feel of running the platters at 45 rpms instead of the 33 rpms but i do notice and this could obviously be because I’m novice but it’s a liiiiittle bit tougher to catch my platter at the right point when scratching. Should I stick with my settings and learn or do I need to literally slow it down a bit 🤣😂 I’ve seen some folks on Reddit talking about 45 rpms was best but 🤷🏾‍♂️

Yooo learning on the Rane 12s is a great choice. I’ve always preferred high torque, especially for scratching. In terms of the speed, I’ve only used 33rpms so I’d have to hear an argument as to why 45rpms would be better on the Rane 12 lol. I’d slow it down and use high torque, but that’s just me!

Air Scratching.. I'm not the only one doing this! 👍👍 I prefer trying to sound a bit more like Rhazel though!! Try this when at the grocery, checking the pizzas.. try not to start scratching with the pizza once you picked one 😆😆😆

@@DJLiftOFFOut of a setup for about 3 weeks, this is how I survived.. and I also saw something with a plastic card to practice the crossfader.. Was good for the sound but I till have a hard time with the crossfader when it goes over 90.. 90 is my dark beast.. pretty dark beast when it comes to crossfader.. BTW, I found a tweak for the Boomerang!
