I thought you weren’t allowed to have guns in England but Jack’s got two massive fist swingers attached to his shoulders. Looking absolutely granite, brother.

Oh boy! I arrived here randomly, thanks to KZfaq algorithm, which I don’t quite understand but hey, I’m so glad I hit play on this video 😂 Dude, you are hilarious! Don’t get me wrong, your level of musicianship is super high, but man are you hilarious! I love your style and I think if teaching music was like standup comedy, you’d be the Dave Chappelle of pianists Keep it coming man

Another brilliant video mate. I’ve been playing the guitar since I was a kid but I’ve always wanted to learn to play the piano and I’m finally doing it with your videos so thank you! I’ve got less than F all guitar theory knowledge so this is a great way to learn! 😂 And it’s meaning that all the little references on where to crowbar in a 2-5-1 (which by the way I was about 3 minutes into the last video before I knew what the hell that even was 😂) or when you describe what you’re talking about but you’re not sure if the viewer gets it, my tiny brain is getting it! 😂 You can do similar run ups/run downs/progressions on the guitar as well as you know. I don’t know have a CLUE what I’m doing theoretically (what scale/mode??/even what key I’m in most of the time to be completely honest 😂) but I can play them when the right opportunity presents itself and my brain just knows when that is, so I seem to be able to visualise exactly what you’re saying all the time! 😂 Magic video as always lads. ✌🏻

That 3rd in the bass after the 2-5-1 sounded amazing. Your demos are also always inspiring. Happy new year, Jack & Andertons.

I missed that. If you play Dm7, G7 and CMaj, where do you play the 3rd in the bass?

I wish I had a Jack tamagatchi that would pipe up and give me life advice in the manner that he teaches piano. Love it! 'Crikey O'Rielly, you can find that cheaper in Tesco's. It's daylight robbery. Robbery Williams'

Very cool lesson I was up on inserting II-V's but never noticed taking advantage of the descending major 3rd to add some motion to the Pop changes.

These are all over Michael McDonald's tunes - I know you were channeling his vocal stylings a bit but every song instantly sounds like one of his tunes when you add the 2-5!

it's a 2-5-1 relative to F but what key are we in?
@nstrug2 жыл бұрын
C major. F is the IV chord. So the 2-5-1 could be written as IIm/IV-V/IV-IV. If you are feeling posh you could call these a secondary supertonic and a secondary dominant.
@electrosonicnebula2 жыл бұрын
@@nstrug I'm not feeling posh. I'm complaining about the video not making this clear and therefore being confusing.
@willhotsax2 жыл бұрын
I love this video, thanks, and have watched it lots of times! Can we only crowbar them in realistically with major 3rd intervals? I want to be able to reharmonise a range of songs with 2-5-1’s and hoping it’s not jus restricted to major 3rd intervals. Thanks
