The exact reason I came to the video! Was wondering if it was normal to have 2 green (ground) wires connected to the bare (copper) house wire but it in fact was correct!

Like a hum but no rotation? First I'd make sure the reverse switch is fully in one position or the other, if it's sitting in the middle (which can happen during install) you'll get this result. Second, I'd pull the plugs for the switch housing/light assembly back apart. Look directly into the plugs; make sure the little pins inside all look pretty centered within their chambers to ensure they're connecting properly. Plug them back together and make sure the little latch is fully snapped into place. If neither of those works, it would seem to be some sort of factory wiring or motor defect and I'd get in touch with Quorum or the retailer where you purchased it.

I assume you're talking current Hunter/Casa as the base of comparison. That's kind of a complex question, both have their good areas. Quorum I think is better on the lower end, like I'd totally choose a Breeze above a basic home center Hunter. Hunter and especially the Casablanca line really keep it nice on the upper end. But that Windmill is one of the most beautifully built fans I've ever worked with, as well. High end is very fuzzy, I prefer the Hunter/Casa motor build, they also do really nice ABS work, their stamped steel is really neither here nor there for me compared to Quorum. They both use a nice gauge. Quorum casts some of the cleanest metalwork I've ever seen on a ceiling fan, they are an industry-wide winner for me in that category and that extends from the Windmill right on down to the Breeze and like fans. I don't know if this is at all coherent, I'm finding it hard to express myself. I like both companies a lot and find them hard to compare because both have their strengths and it's not really apples to apples for me.

Vintage Fans & More I see I probably will go with the hunter since they have dust armor and permalock downrods. I’m buying a new home soon and needed suggestions since I won’t be able to take my 1990s Casablanca panamas with me :(

Personally speaking, I don't find Dust Armor or PermaLock to be key features of necessity. In fact, I rather dislike Hunter's downrod system. It works, but really I wish they'd ditch the locktite, which destroys the threads for all of eternity, and just drill a damned hole through the coupler to insert a pin for locking the downrod in place and secure with a set screw. Kichler has the right idea on that one, Craftmade too. Quorum is basic when it comes to downrods, but Hunter has always overcomplicated ANYTHING that has to do with the mounting method. It's all up to you, but if you're going Hunter, I'd definitely stay on the upper end, or look more at the Casablanca line. I find that Casablanca, even in the more value-based price range, maintains a high standard. Anything below $100 from Hunter, actually probably more like $200, is likely not going to check all the boxes in build, performance, finishes, longevity... You can achieve greater overall value on the low end with Quorum for less, they literally have models staggered at just about any possible price point from ~$120 and up, and again their high end stuff is immaculate. Find a showroom that sells wholesale to the public and you could cut that cost even further. Just food for thought. Like I said, I like both companies, but Quorum is a manufacturer that offers a lot of value across the board that makes them a super easy sell for me. Hunter offers value, but you need to dig for it across the entire line, and it's not assured on the low end. I can tout other companies I love like Emerson and Kichler, even Fanimation all day long, but they aren't necessarily value brands that are easy to sell without going deeper into quality standards and overall build.

Vintage Fans & More yea I was looking at the prices for Casablanca fans now and was disappointed so I decided to look at Emerson fans and I ended up finding a premium in a black finish for only 125 dollars on eBay brand new and I’m extremely happy since it has the k55 motor like my old panama with a fly wheel.
