any suggestions to secure the wood wand back into the shepherd's hook mechanism- ours keeps coming out

Hi James, Those tips are just glued into the end of the wand. You can use any type of glue: white glue, wood glue, hot glue, super glue...Whatever you have on hand. I'd make sure that the end of the wand isn't cracked; that is a common issue and makes the tip come out.
