The piping up was the part I wanted to see. Hanging them is a piece of cake. Adjusting piping and valves is tge tricky part

Hi. Do I need to take off the existing locksheild and TRv valves from the pipework and replace with ones compatible for the towel radiator? Sorry for sounding dumb but thought better to ask rather than dangerously guess. Thanks. Great video from you as usual.

I have a towel rail to put on a tiled wall which is plasterboard behind can you just go in to the tile or make the hole bigger and add plasterboard fixings, some people say just go into the tile thanks

Hi Trade Radiators, Please can you help me with my following Question. I have a Combi boiler (quite new) and i also have a small radiator in my bathroom which i am wanting to change to a towel rad. However It is confusing me at the moment. I've been told that because i want it permanently on i should just fit two Lock shield valves on it. Is that true or do i need a TRV on one side along with a bypass valve ?. I also want to keep the cost down as much as possible. So would a Standard valve and 1 lock shield be find to use without a bypass ? Many Thanks

Do these radiators come with a template showing you where the holes are instead of taking so much risk with measuring?

They don’t seem to radiate heat, very hot to touch but traditional rad much better to heat the room

I have been trying to install this set up but I keep refilling and leak testing (4 times now!) and find leaks around one or both of the the spigot tapered threads. One seems to go in all the way up the thread while the other still has some thread visble once tight. I notice (now that I see this video!) you say "don't tighten too tight" but I have been tightenting as tight as I can, which seems to 'ruffle' the ptfe. should I apply more ptfe and leave a little looser to let the ptfe form the seal? I think when tightening, I can feel that I'm tightening to the point of getting through the ptfe and have the metal threads tightening against eachother. is that too tight? Any help would be great. ((I've always avoided tackling plumbing in the past but having youtube these days has enabled us laymen to tackle previously mystifying tasks. But there's no substitute for 'on the job' knowledge and experience, and doing these things for the first time is sometimes 'trying' (£**&%&£& ***&%^$ )"(*$£&$&£^$%%**************cks!.... to say the least - after what has turned into 11 hours to basically fit a towel rail to the wall - looks nice but the house is cold! - You've got to laugh I guess! ))
