I would like to buy a ceiling hanging bracket for the triangle ball on the downrod.

I called the toll-free number, and they were clueless. They had the same instructions I have. The wiring was unknown because the instructions had the wrong directions and mentioned the ground wire two times - I only had one ground wire. I have been putting Hunter fans in my home since 1969 - this was the last one - even if I hire a handyman to do it - and he won't be paid by the hour.

Sped right over the important part - WIRING - and possible other existing wire combinations in your housing. Three & half hours later, the fan is up & looks wired correctly but it doesn't work. The fixture it replaced was working perfectly. Five minute fan maybe if you are an electrician.

I purchased one of these fans to replace an existing fan in my living room. The mounting bracket provided with the fan did not fit an existing electrical box in the ceiling of my house. This electrical box was installed during construction of the house when new, so it is for a ceiling fan installation. How come they cannot engineer a mounting bracket to fit? I took all of the parts out of the box to ensure all parts were present, then followed the instructions. Once I was assembled to the point to take down the old fan and install the new, that is when I found out the one bracket provided was too wide for my electrical box to mount the fan to. Do these brackets have to be bigger in China where this fan as made?

My fan didn't even come with instructions, and I had to guess on installation and which screws to use. No manuals on the website either.

I have ceiling fan rated box secured to a 2x4 which is laying on its side as support brace. Can you please inform me what purpose the 3" screws have in this particular situation?...if any. Deceitfully skips the ceiling bracket requirements, like the four-inch box requirement compared to three-inch boxes usually in old houses, and how to replace the 3 with the 4 inch, AND how to install the bracket. These headaches would hurt sales, so they don't tell you. Too bad because the durability (20 years and 10+) of my two Hunter air filters is amazing. When I asked for return instructions on the "800" number, the woman started lecturing me. Guilty conscience? Our words reveal us.

This video is not applicable to the Model 59177. The screw holes in the blade irons are too big and the blade iron assembly screws don't hold the blade irons in place--they just fall out. Very disappointed in the shoddy manufacturing.

1st don’t ever buy these. I’ve installed a dozen of these for customers and never once has the ceiling bracket went in well. And the canopy holes will not line up with ceiling bracket holes. Poorly designed garbage.
