Watching this a year later... thanks for the detailed video! Question - is it possible to remove the splitter without taking off the bumper, after the initial installation? I live in MN with heavy snowfall and I'd want to remove it seasonally (I'm also lowered), but would rather not take the bumper off twice a year.

You should be able to, but you're going to need the jack the car up to do so.

It will likely not fit your car since it's built for the GTI.

Did you remove the original lip/spliter, or did you put the Maxton directly under it?

I mounted it exactly as you see in the video. Not sure which splitter you're referring too.

Is it a textured black or gloss black?

Both... kinda - Most of it is matte black with some polished/gloss edges. It is all smooth, not truly textured.
