You can now watch our latest 3 minute Oscar Iso-Mount Type1 installation video here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fcpmoZil0NnPeJs.html
How to install a soundproof ceiling losing only 6mm ceiling height! This video by Oscar Acoustics shows how to install a soundproof ceiling using the new high performance space saving Oscar Iso-Mount acoustic hangers for soundproof ceilings, also known as a floating ceiling.
Having been in business for 40 years, Oscar Acoustics were always being asked how to soundproof a ceiling, so we decided to come up with a new acoustic hanger that would make the whole soundproofing process much easier and faster and with the added bonus of class leading performance. Use with Celbar acoustic insulation for incredible results. Celbar is also known as Celbar thermal insulation so will prevent heat loss into the flat or apartment above!
Purchase the Iso-Mount acoustic hanger here - www.oscar-acoustics.co.uk/info/shop.asp - Worldwide delivery available.
A full isolated floating sound proof ceiling is now possible whilst only losing as little as 6mm ceiling height, which is significantly less than other ceiling products. When complete, the ceiling will appear as a conventional plaster ceiling. Wall system also available.

Is it best to do walls first before ceiling?
@OscarAcoustics
@OscarAcoustics 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter. I would do the ceiling first. This will help to reduce flanking noise down the walls. I have done it this way in my old and current homes and works really well.

Always complete the ceiling first. That way, the wall drywall helps to support the ceiling drywall sheets at the edges. It makes for more stable joints, with greatly reduced risk of the plaster cracking over time.

Hi +Charline Delisser. It is sometimes possible to pump the Celbar insulation straight into the void without taking the ceiling down. This will help greatly with airborn noise, less so with impact noise

@@benhancock542 Wouldn`t the Celbar insulation stuff just ooze through between the upstairs floorboards?
@benhancock542
@benhancock542 4 жыл бұрын
The Iso-Mounts are the best way to deal with the impact noise as they are breaking the path of vibration which turns the ceiling below into a speaker effectively. If the boards are close together, the Celbar will not blow through. If there are larger gaps, it is advisable to seal with a bead of silicone if the ceiling is down. Underlay on the floor above will also stop it.

is this better than resiliant mounds?
@OscarAcoustics
@OscarAcoustics 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Feronom. Yes, these perform better and have the flexibility of being able to adjust height to give absolute minimum height loss or put up flat ceilings across uneven joists. It can also work our cheaper than some other competitors when you add up all the components required. Hope this helps.
