Just a quick video on how i swapped out my stock exhaust for a sport NCY pipe on a 2015 Genuine Roughhouse 50 Scooter and the result. I also talk about Jetting and the airbox mod as well.
Please feel free to ask any questions in the comment section below!

I have a 2019 Roughhouse 50 Sport, my second of the same bike just newer, and had gotten the same pipe as yours as well for it and saw a 3-4 mph increase in top speed gain. The RH50 stock carb has it's air screw bondo'ed over leaving us only an idle screw so I replaced mine with one the same size but with adjustable air screw for fine tuning. Up jetting is a definite must. At 13:30 I would have removed the snorkel instead of drilling new hole(s), but my point is with greater air intake means leaner running conditions which might warrant even higher main jetting for balance. Roughhouses run hot anyway but it'd be wise to avoid even higher temps to maintain engine life. "Lean is mean" as the saying goes. My adjustable carb lets me run even richer thus keeping temps in check. My original 2016 RH50 Sport all stock took me from southern Connecticut to southern New Hampshire, 189 miles one way in just over 7+1/2 hrs, GPS assisted side roads averaging 30 mph with frequent stops. Spent a mere $12 in gas and a single oil top off and it asked me if I was kidding. Years of admirable performance and almost 16,000 miles later it was designated to extra parts only because during it's lifetime it endured hot and cold conditions, vandalism, later struck broadside by a car running a red and later still finally negligence by a repair garage in a failed attempt at a lower end rebuild took its toll. I'm only now realizing that if I and fate weren't such terrible beasts to it's well being it'd most likely still be running today.

@@slicemadice Let me tell you, If you want more out of your Roughhouse do this: Slap on a 70cc big bore kit. Cast iron with a 10mm wrist pin preferably with an included cylinder head. That in combo with an aftermarket exhaust, perhaps the Yasuni brand and you will NOT be disappointed. I went with Yasuni Z because our RH50's max rpm's are around 9800, with peak power at around 8800 and was closest to my price range. With a bigger pipe, stiffer clutch springs are needed to match the change in powerband the pipe brings. Frankly I'm not surprised your new pipe(s) didn't perform, I bought the same pipe you did and it's essentially a replacement stock pipe. BBk's are easy installs but do be sure to replace gaskets, and torque bolts to specs listed in the booklets, which requires borrowing/buying an adjustable torque wrench. Research installs thoroughly. Cant just crank on bolts until they feel snug (or even overtightening) when it comes to the cylinder head. Can't stress that enough. Whatever you decide on, ask and ask some more and even then ask other people if they'll fit properly. A final step would be a 19mm adjustable carb but is not necessary. With that would be a different air intake and pre-mixing / disabling the oil pump. Every upgrade stage requires fine tuning so do the homework. Any performance parts concerning the CVT is more cost for very little gain in my opinion, but there are options there as well. I researched a solid 6 months before going with what I did with my bike and I was impressed. Like to cruise half throttle at 35 mph WITH traffic flow? Like going up steep hills at speed but OFF the shoulders ? Then a BBK and Pipe combo will blow your hair back! www.tuningmatters.com/reviews/exhausts/scooter-tuning-exhaust-test/

@@cousinschlappy7243 yeah I I couldn’t agree more with what you said. Thanks for you detailed input you clearly know your stuff. Hey it was worth the install though and yes I do want to do the big bore kit at some point just a matter of pulling the trigger.

I'm not sure why I didn't film it, but I do wish I did also. Once you have the Carb off, one bolt to drop the bowl, then you use a small flat head screwdriver to remove the original jet and reinstall the new jet. It's not as bad as you would think. Good luck!

Have a buddy 50 guess they reworked the sport exhaust cause I have the second pipe for the cvt hose unless the ruff house edition is still missing it idk

I'm not sure if you saw the entire video but the initial pipe you see is a buddy exhaust, they sent me the wrong pipe which has the hose connection. The RH sport pipe you delete that connection

what made the buddy 50 sport pipe not compatible? i want to be able to hook back up that black thing going to the cvt and as you saw the roughhouse specific doesnt have that 2nd exhaust hose. did you get the 4-5 mph extra you wanted? what did it need to get it there?
@slicemadice
@slicemadice 3 жыл бұрын
It would not bolt up to the roughhouse 50 without modification so i wouldn't recommend trying the buddy pipe. It is weird the buddy pipe has the exhaust cvt tube but the RH doesn't. I never achieved the 5mph gain but I also didn't play with more than the one jet I changed over.

I have a 22 RH. Trying to put in a sport exhaust and I’m wondering what I should do with the oil pump, One end of the oil pump connects to the stock exhaust. Not on this exhaust, It is supposed to be for roughhouse and buddy

@@slicemadice Are you aware that an otherwise stock Roughhouse will do around 48mph just by removing the restrictor ring behind the pulley? There's a KZfaq vid if you look for it. Of course you wouldn't see any performance increase with the exhaust swap as long as the restrictor is there. Take it out and your scoot will rip!

I don't see real any difference between the stock pipe and your upgraded pipe either the same size diameter that comes out of the header the same taper the only difference is that secondary pipe which isn't going to obstruct the flow of the exhaust so what is the difference because the stock one doesn't have a catalytic converter or anything like that inside
