In this video, I show you how to install a winch on a Can-Am Outlander 570 ATV. I will be installing the 3500lbs winch manufactured by Can-Am which is specifically designed for their ATVs and Side by Sides.
If this is the first time you are installing a winch there really is no difference using another type of winch. Connecting your wires, solenoid, and the circuit breaker will follow the same concept.
All the material you see is included with the Can-Am winch from the website below. I am not affiliated and earn no money from the link. It is here to make searching easier for you.

Haha, that is an awesome description of your snow in Michigan. The only place we find snow like that in New Mexico is up in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Snow usually hangs out into July or August depending on snow year. It makes me thankful for the desert valley I live in when you have to deal with it like you do. There is no such thing as a simple job, something ALWAYS seems to snag. THANK YOU so much for making this video...now I feel confident I can get this job done right. Awesome buddy! A winch for Reuben! - Whoooohoooo! Really nice job on explaining every step! That's a lot easier install than on a Honda, but the mounting spot looks like pretty thin plate compared to an actual mounting plate. I'd be worried about that 3,500 lb winch bending the hell out that metal skid plate. And just to be helpful, I suggest you buy a tree strap, because putting the winch hook on the cable when winching like you did at the end is a big no no. That'll wreck your cable really quick. Nice job on the video bud!
@ManzanoManATVAdventures
@ManzanoManATVAdventures 3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your feedback buddy. I will make sure to pick up a tree strap. I thought the same thing that the plate is thin on the bottom. I’ll have to keep in mind if I ever have to do a big job. The cost difference between the 2500lbs and the 3500lbs was 30 bucks. Maybe I aimed high on the 3500 because that is a lot of pull LOL. I got some homework to see how much force can be applied to the plate. Thanks for watching buddy.

Hey there. The solenoid bracket that I used came with the winch. I should have mentioned in the video that there was 2 pieces to the solenoid. I actually ended up using the other piece that was just behind the part that I held up. So the part uses was actual part to be used to tie into the frame and shock.
