This definitely helped me out a ton!! Had to purchase a 2 to 4 hole converting plate for my '08 RZR 800 which rotated my badland 2500 winch 90 degrees. Great video!!!!

How did this 3500lb do on the 800. Lots of other forums say go with the 5000. I’m only needing it for emergencies. We are light trail riders

Just got a RZR 800 and winch worked for two seconds and stopped, went over all the wiring with it and it seems good. So I assume winch itself must be done for.

try and hook up a car battery directly to the terminals on winch with jumper cables and see if it spins, I use that method for years on my trailer winch before it burns up so should be safe for a quick test. If winch is still good sometimes its easier to replace wiring than to hunt down a bad wire. Might try and replace just the solenoid if you have another one. Hey can you help me I have a 4500 pound winch form super atv and on the control box where the wires go to. Then there’s a switch for the winch to go in and out but there’s a little red wire and I have a brand new 2020 Kawasaki krx and don’t know where to put it

sorry for the late response, the control box should have 4 big connections, for 4 big wires (2 for battery and 2 for winch) that are usually color coordinated. I don't have a super atv winch here at the moment, so I'm unsure of which color any of the wires will be. But there will likely be more smaller wires used to connect to the switches, which are usually color coordinated as well. The little red wire is likely the same as the one on mine at 10:08 I'd go for an accessory plug or or cigarette lighter plug's power wire. or any other wire you can verify only receives a power signal when the ignition is on. I will work on getting some links, The winch was the cheapest 3500pd I could find and I picked up from harbor freight with a coupon they send out in the mail. It was the "badland 3500lb" I believe item #61257**(CORRECTION ITEM #61383!), but will double check that when I get into shop today. The winch plate was the KFI Plate was off of ebay and was "KFI 100600 for RZR" I think that part number is good for a variety of rzr 800s and 570s, but wouldn't hurt to call with your year and model to make sure you end up with the correct mount.
