Hello steven, just wanted to say thanks BC I ordered and received advanblack lowers today. Nicely wrapped, perfect condition, however one vent I'm not able to open. With that being said thanks to your video I was able to remove the glove compartment and get to the vent mechanism. The vent was wedged and low and behold problem solved. Fyi, the arm connecting to the vent has a nut and bolt, once removed I pinched it together and it came apart just as you said. I enjoy you vids. Thanks Steven.......Marty from michigan

Thanks. Looking at a bat shield and lowers - will need engine guard. Know anything about back fender storage bags? I see they make them for the Triglide but it's a different fender angle on the freewheeler

Yes sir they are kickers been running them for 2 years and I love them for the price. Plenty loud with a decent amp. However they are not waterproof. Gotta be careful getting caught in the rain with these.

Yes they will fit...the crash bar hasnt changed since like 1996....we have a lot of guys order the newer ones...I personally like them better and built much better too.

Thanks for the tips as I just ordered my lowers a few days ago. Unfortunately Advan doesn’t offer Legend Denim for a color yet. When or if they do then I’ll change out the speaker pods as H-D only offers them in primer or Vivid Black. Keep your knees in the breeze

Yes that is the new blue color this year isn't it? Has the graphics on the fairing? Thats a pretty cool color if im thinking of the right one. Keep watch on the advan website or the advan review group on Facebook they will list all new colors there when they are released. Hopefully soon.

Steven Housden yes it’s the 115th anniversary 1027/1900 they are doing this year. Definitely keep an eye open for new stuff to see if I want to add it. Upgrading the fairing speakers and adding the speaker lids this weekend. Found your channel a few weeks ago when I was looking for tips on installing the air ride.

Love the air ride. Had it on my 05 CVO Fatboy first and don’t know if I’ll have a bike without it now. Look forward to an air ride update and your opinion on adding a pressure gage for fine tuning.

When I have to put a bolt in a blind hole like that. I put a piece of black tape on the socket to create a friction fit for the bolt so it doesnt fall off. Saved my bacon a bunch of times.

yeah ive tried that a few times...seems like the tape is always too thick and then the bolt doesnt sit correctly ...i need some thinner tape i guess lol because ive seen other mechanics do it too

Perfect video!!! But what about connections? I want to connect Fairing Lower Speakers on my FLHT 2019. What is additional should I buy? Which wiring harness should I buy for connect additional two speakers in Fairing Lower? Is it enough to buy connector # 69200612 ? Or I should buy something also? Thank in advance.

if you want to use the harley harness you will have to take it in to the dealership and get the rear channels turned on. That plug under the fairing more than likely is not turned on.

Thank you. The only difference is the way the vent system opens and closes...and of course the price. Everything else is exactly the same.

Thanks for the video, however, how are the speakers wired so you cannot see the wire?

There is really no way to hide the speaker wires unless you drill out and fish through the crash bar, which is not ideal. Simply run the speaker wire down the neck to the crash bar and over to the lower...before you stick the wire into the lower slide some black heat shrink over the wire and cut it to the lower. Insert the wire into the lower and you are done...you can arch it over or bend it straight at the crash bar and add a zip tie. I prefer to arch it over as its only a small amount of wire you will see....and covered with the heat shrink you wont see it unless you are looking for it.

yes if im not mistaken it does not come with a crash bar so you will need to add the stock touring crashbar and they will fit.

They will fit but I would say they are a 99.90 % perfect fit..the leading edge is visiblebut that doesn't stop a ton of folks adding them to their oem lowers...we sell alot for that

no you attach the speakers using screws through the front of the pod into the pod. 4 holes are already pre drilled.

We dont do any custom colors, however if your bike is Vivid Black and "grey" on the lowers you would only paint the them the primary color. I have never seen two tone lowers. I wo9uld pick the black or the grey and have them painted that color. Call your local HD and ask them to run the VIN number and they can tell you what colors the black and grey are. They will have a name, not just black and grey.

I just seen the video and those are pre Rushmore style lowers. The lowers are a top seller and the first I have seen of it. I've had mine on for 3 years now and no issues. Very well could have been a bad mold that came out. If he contacts or did contact Advan they will replace them with no questions asked.

they will fit but it is not an exact match on the outer edge...its really really close and lot of guys run them with no issues and dont mind..just be aware it is a 1/16th or so off...no gap...just not perfect though

no these will not fit a street bob...they are molded for the crash bars on the touring models.

I love your videos but these lowers are very disappointing. I have pancreatic cancer and was looking forward to one last summer of riding, I’m going through treatments and I only feel good enough to work on my bike every now and then I put them on loose and covered my bike up for a week and a half when I uncovered it the left side was all cracked apart and the speaker pod was hanging down. I have it at a body shop to see if they can fix it somehow if not can I order just the left side?

Sounds like you adding them on loose caused the speaker to fall out partially and put the pod and lowers in a serious bind which caused it to crack..they are ABS, just like HD's...same thing would have happened had you done that to a OEM lower. Yes you can contact sales and get that squared away with them. It wont be listed on the website as a single unit.

You missed showing the hardest part of the install. And that is trying to fit the speaker grill to the speaker pod.

If it doesnt go right on over the speaker and your speaker grill is too big for the pod you will need 6.5 inch spacers. Cheap on ebay or amazon. It makes the speakers set out more so the grills mount on the speaker instead of in the hole

Sorry but , at 8:25, that is a pain in the ASS... My leaf spring kept falling off. Secondly , Where do you recommend to drill for speaker wires ? Don't drill under the front cover...Come in somewhere on the side of speaker housing. Advanblack ???

make the hole bigger and its not bad...you wont see it anyway its behind the speaker. and yes come in near where the crash bar goes under that cap...drill a hole straight through to the inside and you want see it once you put the cap on

the crash bar is the same from 86 to 23 so you just want to get a "touring model" engine guard and itll fit.
