I now have the G750JH-DB71, so I'm sharing my G74SX restore downloads. They are VERY big, and need to be burned to a DVD. I'd label each one "G74SX Disc 1" through Disc 3.
IGNORED the "Make Backup Discs" warnings?
Lost your restore discs? Well you're in LUCK!
Disc 1: is.gd/G74SX_DVD1
Disc 2: is.gd/G74SX_DVD2
Disc 3: is.gd/G74SX_DVD3
I recommend downloading and installing ImgBurn!

That program will burn those ISO's to DISCS!

Do you still have the recovery discs? The lnks are dead and I just aquired a G74sx and I would love to have it back to to it's factory OS..

I have the same laptop since I bought it in like 2012 from best buy also, and just got an SSD finally, lol. This video will be invaluable since I've been nervous about how to go about installing it. But I can't wait, it looks sooooo fast!!

How's yours running after 10 years? I had to replace my hard drive 5 years ago. Now my keyboard is faulty. The fans are still running strong. But my computer runs really hot when gaming. I think I need to clean it out and apply new thermal paste. It looks like such a daunting endeavor tho.

@@jonpate6129 its still running great after all these years. This thing has been through a LOT all on the original hardware, including times in FL in summer with no A/C, flights with it loosely thrown into my backpack and TSA hell, I even accidentally dropped it from like 3ft recently with no ill effects or damage. Only recently did I install more memory and do a fresh install of Windows then upgrade to Windows 10 and now hopefully have this ssd installed once I build up the confidence enough to feel like I'm not going to brick it or screw something up lol. Edit: feel like I should also mention I have a serious tab hoarding problem with probably like 700 something tabs open last time I checked 😩 still runs well enough to not want to throw it out the window lol

@@j4k3z nice brother. The hard drive is an easy swap. Just pull it out sideways at an angle and it comes right out. Good to know the g74sx is durable, it certainly looks like it is

How did you make the recovery disk? Heh, sorry. The HDD started to die in mine and I honestly love this machine.
