Are you looking to install a second SSD or HDD in your Windows 10 desktop PC? In this tutorial, I will show you how to install a new second drive in your Windows 10 PC. I will also show you how to activate or initialize the disk and set it up. By following this tutorial you should easily be able to install a new second hard drive or SSD in your PC allowing you to have more space to install programs and backup your files.

73 yr senior here, I had a128 gb ssd on my system, saw a sale on Prime Day & bought a extra 2TB 2 1/2 drive to install. All cables hooked up easily but system didn't see my new SSD. Been years since I've installed a HD. First time installing a SSD, and only as a secondary drive. Did the physical installation, powered up my PC, checked the BIOS to make sure the drive was connected, booted up Windows...no drive.. Google is my friend, your video came up right at the top, jumped straight to activation, got my new SSD active in just a couple minutes.

Wow. Perfect instructions. Just installed 2TB WD Blue. it's not solid state but no problem. My computer is 7 years old and still going strong. Not store bought, I built is myself (last time for this as I am getting old.)

This video was REALLY helpful, thanks so much for making it. I bought a 1TB Samsung 860 EVO drive to upgrade my desktop pc. I couldn't get the Samsung cloning software to work. So I then bought a 1TB Crucial drive which cloned my original drive perfectly using Acronis software. Now I've installed the Samsung EVO as a second SSD with the help of your video. Many thanks.

Perfect! I was able to pop in a new SSD to my pc with no problems thanks to this guide. I'm pleased to find this to be as straightforward as I thought, but always better to check with someone who knows what they're talking about before I go poking around my machine without really knowing what I'm doing with it haha. Thanks, as someone who's comfortable enough with software and the PC specs themselves, but pretty clueless when it comes to touching the actual hardware, (I've always had someone else help in that department) this helped greatly and gave me the confidence to perhaps upgrade some other parts in the future.

this was the only video i found that actually explained how to install the ssd. and i happened to buy the exact same card too before hand. thanks so much!

Thank you. Just bought new SSD, and it was faulty( it was recognised in the bios, and Computer management, but NOT in the Disk management) replaced it and this one works. 🙂

Got a Vulcan Z SSD 2TB thinking it worked the same as regular external hard drives😂 Opened the box and I was like “Where I plug in the cord 😅 Found this video and it was so simple. I’ve never even opened a computer before 😂 Greats job u get a sub from me 💯
