*Perfect band saw for the hobby enthusiast **MyBest.Tools** Easy to set up and square. Had it running in 10 to 15 minutes. Quality of cuts will depend on the quality of the blades.*

Sir first of all thank You for your video! :)) I have a WEN 10” 3.5 amp bandsaw. Cheap saw for around the house. I have had it close to 2 years but it has been used very little. However, I went into the shop the other afternoon and tried cutting a piece of wood. The saw would not cut straight at all. It wasn’t just blade drift. If I forced it to cut 2 inches it would break the blade. Thats how sideways it has gotten. The specs of the blade are 72” length, 3/8” thickness and 6 teeth per inch. I would say 50% aggressive. They said it was the best wood cutting blade for all around, any type wood. I watched videos like yours and this is what I have done. I tried adjusting the top wheel but it changed nothing. I then cleaned the blade which was gummed up pretty bad but no change. I want to sharpen it but this is my problem. All of the teeth are slanted to the same side. And thats the way the blade tries to go. Also in seems as though the teeth have different slants. Like one is more aggressive than the other. It almost looks like the 1st tooth is slanted a good bit and the other 2 are straight. But I rub my finger down that side of the blade and I can feel resistance on every tooth. But it does seem like every 3rd tooth is more resistant than the other 2. I thought every tooth pointed the other direction and if they did I would know exactly how to sharpen kit. But if that is true with my blade then I am blind and can’t feel either. Any information that you or anyone who might read this could give me or in some way enlighten me, I would be very grateful!! I’m gonna finish watching your video Sir. Thank You and anyone else SO MUCH and GOD bless……

Replace your blade it's 15$ then remove tension from the blade if you plan on not using it often. The tension will warp the blade while it sits.

I bought a Wen 9inch bunchtop band saw, it's first week it ran very well. It was assembled professionally. Week #2 the blades came of the wheels. Then everything started to fall apart on it and I decided to ask the question WEN will it not be complete trash. Next time I will spend more money and get something that will work more then 2 weeks and won't fall apart.

I just purchased the 3959 9" band saw, it will be arriving today. Quick question, Is there much of a difference between the 2.5 and 2.8 amp machine in terms of performance? Anyway I decided to go with your brand "WEN' because about 6 months ago I bought a WEN drill press and I absolutely love it.

Brandon how to move tension guide?
@Mm-jo3cm3 ай бұрын
It looks like after the new blade is on and seems aligned then to add tension, the knob is turned counter-clockwise not clockwise. Is it possible they just used the same piece of video (used for loosening it) and edited into the tightening sequence?

Was on home depot website checking out Wen's model BA1411 14" 1HP bandsaw which only had 4 reviews. At some point while searching for good Bandsaw blades i discover this thing called a "Bandsaw riser block". Wanting to see if Wen carried this for the BA1411 i went to Wen's website. There was no listing on their website for a Riser block but i discovered something else that sorta opened my eyes and had me laughing afterwards. Wen had the same exact 4 reviews on their website that Home Depot had on theirs for the BA1411 Bandsaw, with slightly different dates.🤣🤣

What do you do if you’re cutting a piece of wood and the blade pops off, but the wood gets stuck in the saw blade
@GoldenShaolinNutz3 жыл бұрын
Your blade in the middle or teeth in the middle to avoid wander? mine kept wandering right until i had teeth part of the blade close to the middle which looked like it was a little to far back. My wandering and pissed-off days were over. Sooo since the wheel rubber is not flat but curved. And blade width varies. Is that negligible? is my machine made fucked up? (no longer wanders and is perfect after my adjustment) or is the explanation just general but not precise?
@maxquigley95243 жыл бұрын
This video does not address the lower bearing adjustments for the blade guides. I have the 10" 9662. It came with a 3/8" blade installed. I have no problems adjusting it. I just bought some 1/2 inch blades. The lower thrust bearing needs to be moved back because it is putting constant pressure on the blade. The problem is that I have it's bolt adjusted all the way to the back of the slot already. The thrust bearing makes a lot of noise being pushed up against the blade like this. And yes I tried moving the blade forward a little. I dare not move it any more. Why did WEN design it this way? Do I need to file the slot to allow the thrust bearing to be moved back?
@maxquigley95243 жыл бұрын
Ah, never mind. The bracket that the thrust bearing is attached to has slots that are long enough to move it back enough for a 1/2" blade.

I cannot get an ⅛" blade to track properly on my 9in win. The ⅜" blade I have no problem but the smaller one is all the way to the outside of the bottom wheel and the guides do not go out far enough to catch it. If I put it back further it just runs off. My old saw I could run any blade no problem but this one if giving me a fit. I know smaller blades are harder to track but I've never had this much trouble on my old saw. Unfortunately my old saw which was much nicer then this one died on me and I bought this one for all the reviews. I would had liked to be able to use at least a half inch blade but I mostly use it to cut out patterns anyway. I would like to find a way to make the smaller blades work if anyone has an idea that make help me I would be appreciative.

How to move tension level
@4691cvdivad3 жыл бұрын
No one ever seems to address bottom wheel tracking. I can get the blade to track in the middle of the too wheel but not the bottom wheel. Always rides towards the very front of the wheel, almost like it’s about ready to come off.

How much this bandsaw 2019?
@arturoclavijo9594 жыл бұрын
750 dollars
@glenpaul36063 жыл бұрын
Wrong...blade is not centered on wheel, the deepest part of gullet is centered on the wheel....Also blade tension should be not more than 1/8 th inch with a light tap to the side with one finger.
@Hal2audio11 ай бұрын
I own a WEN and cannot figure out if tryouts turn clockwise or counter to tighten the tension and this video did ZERO to help that as your turned the same direction for tightening and loosing.

I know this post is over 2 years old but for those who have your problem the answer is to keep the top wheel level using a small level rested against the top and bottom part of the wheel. Tighten it up making sure the blade is somewhat in the middle of the tire. When it's at the tension you like, use the adjustment knob on the back and make micro adjustments turning the wheel slowly. I cant take credit for this , saw it on another video. I was ready to Chuck this brand new band saw because of it. I spent house hours before and it kept popping off using a 1/8 blade. Hope this helps someone!
@wayneholmes18002 жыл бұрын
@@badaphooko02 I'll give it a try. One thing for sure 3/8" blade is all that works. Tried 1/2 and 1/8 and all the little tricks and they never tracked well. Still poor compared to Luna or Jet but it's a $200 band saw and I'll try this with the 3/8 blade to at least get straight cuts working.
