The dreaded bullnose corner. You can do it. You can trim around a bullnose corner like a pro. Griff shows you how.

Thank you for the tip at minute 2:30. I would not have guessed to trim the opposite side. Will try it tomorrow.

Good video I like that technique. Thank you. Any reason why he wouldn’t just nail them up and glue in the corner piece and put some tape on there to let it set up?

Some specialty stores carry moldings that are rounded just for bulk nose. Thats all I use now. Save alot of time and looks clean

Where can I order some? Can't find a source.

I checked with Home Depot and they don’t have it
@jbonestyle Жыл бұрын
@@jonphanspromotions home depot is not a specialty store. I live in canada so the stores may be different but the store I go to is Windsor plywood. They have significantly more base selections and other moldings to pick from

Great work! What do you do to clean up the lines in the baseboard made by the corner piece? Obviously after gluing you sand a paint? Do you calk the corner piece to make it look as one?

I hate bullnose corners and my whole neighborhood and half the city has bullnose corners... It was a favorite of Kaufman and broad. I hate these stupid things. The only thing I find frustrating is you guys have a miter saw and I have a table saw. Thanks for the video

C A glue is instant, no waiting

Any particular reason you don't use CA glue for this? I've found it to be a lot nicer as you don't have to wait for it to dry, with activator you are locked in within seconds. And thanks, @1:19 was what I was looking for as I start to lay out my baseboard trim

CA glue you have to special order and it's more expensive than regular PVA glue. I honestly think CA glue is fantastic for MDF millwork but regular PVA wood glue works best for any finger joint stuff, poplar, and exotic woods. I use Titebond 2 on MDF all the time and have excellent results.

How do you do both 22 1/2 degree cuts on a mitre box? I don’t have a mitre saw.

I see you are down in the Springs...I moved to Colorado and I'm redoing the modling...why are you guys obsessed with the rounded corners and knock down texture =).
@homefixcos4 жыл бұрын
Good question! Not sure when or why rounded corners became the norm around here. We know knock down is A LOT easier to patch!
@grobertson20083 жыл бұрын
If you use CA glue and accelerator the piece would be much stronger. 10 minutes with Titebond wood glue would take at least 45 minutes to bond.

How about a video on how to cut baseboard/trim for "rounded inside corners". There is not a single one on KZfaq.

I think you would have to do cope the baseboards for angles

I’m researching ideas for baseboard around rounded outside corners and I can’t believe no one has come up with a better idea than this! The reason I’m doing the job is the homeowner wants all of their baseboard redone because it was done using this technique and it looks very amateurish.

If you wanna get fancier, sand the corners of the small piece and it’ll look round…..
