Fastest stock car I've ever driven and the best handling car. WOW, you've got to drive one of these! (I've driven A LOT of cars)

This vid helped me a ton. I was struggling to get the grills out, getting more and more frustrated, watched this vid then had both grills out in less than 2 mins. Thanks!

This is the best video out of many out there in YT about how to pull that stock crap out :) Finally, I'll be able to do it myself. Many thanks!

This was awesome! Very helpful. Took me 20 minutes tops. I didn't have a pry tool so I used a flathead screwdriver. I can't believe how easy this is if you know how to do it. Thanks again!

Thanks helped a ton, the clips were so difficult to push off. Ended up breaking a clip on one of the bumpers because I pulled it too hard on the last one on the bottom but given how tough they are still snug and tight.

I did mine last night and I ended up taking out the screws on top and squeezing my way through the clips. I also had to remove the piece of rubber seal that runs horizontally. I wish I had the same tools you have. It could have been much easier. I had some cuts and bruises, but it's worth it! I wanted to share my video but it was horrific! I was sweating like crazy and there was a point where I almost gave up. 😩 Thanks for sharing your video man!

I am going to be doing this with my 140i, so basically you press down the top clips and pull up the bottom ones?

Very nice. Thanks.

For everyone trying... you need to push in the CENTER SMALL PEICE OF THE CLIP, not the whole tab itself, realized this after I removed the first one. Second one came out in under a minute😂😂😂

Very nice - where did you pick up the pry bars?
@85YotaMan8 жыл бұрын
+pstrachan84 They can be purchased at Harbor Freight. They are cheap! I believe it's a 4 pack for around $10

Where did you get the grills? IND? I didn't see any for a 2013 535i. I like the Dinan grills but they are not matte.
@85YotaMan8 жыл бұрын
+Paul Benoit Ya, I got them from IND. I will paint them myself next time... not hard, pop out grills, clean them, scotch brite and paint. I really like the matte finish!
@paulbenoit69138 жыл бұрын
+R Smith Thanks, I may do that. Especially since a plasti dip will leave a matte finish on the grills.

I normally agree on using OEM parts, but not for this. These literally are just pieces of plastic. Keep the OEM mantra for those parts exposed to wear and tear or which require more resilient performance 👍

D L ....or any part you want the fit and finish to look proper. Most after market stuff is garbage. Thanks for watching!

R Smith Okay, so I’ve just fitted aftermarket black grills to my F32 and the fitment and look is identical to OEM. It’s not the 80s anymore with shoddy fitting and that’s because most reproduction companies are using 3D modelling to make almost exact copies. For bigger parts - or perhaps those with a very specific purpose, I’d agree that OEM is required. But smaller, easily replicable ones like plastic grills? No, not at all - wholly unnecessary. It doesn’t add value to the car either; buyers simply won’t care.

At least in the 80s many aftermarket parts were still build in the USA. Now it's a bunch of cheap Chinese crap. Holes don't line up, sharp edges, clips aren't as quality... etc. You can't beat OEM.

R Smith Okay But BMW is German, not American?
@85YotaMan6 жыл бұрын
Yeah yeah, I live in America and in my lifetime the quality of anything has gone down thanks to outsourcing to China. This goes for any country. Germany, Japan, etc... Unfortunately most companies only care about more profits... quantity over quality. China sucks.

Easier if you just remove weather stripping and then unscrew 8 torx bolts and then lift up the front and access all of the clips from the rear. Won't rust breaking any clips or cutting up your hands or fingers.
@imconfused12376 жыл бұрын
The M Spot This, massively. I was doing something else on my F32 which required removing the top torx screws. But while I was at it, I changed my grills to gloss black. The bumper has a LOT of flex in it, and allowed me to remove both OEM grills in literally 30 seconds. Only tip I’d say is that if you’re going to remove the torx bolts you have to ignore the temptation to clean the area. This is because the dirt ‘shadow’ (where the screw washer contacts the bumper) enables a perfect realigned fit, which is vital for a perfect shutline when you drop the bonnet 😊👍

It was impossible to take the grill off with bare hands or even take the screws off. I'm taking mine to the shops and pay for it......
