How to install BOINC manager on Raspberry Pi 5

Күн бұрынIn this video, I will show you how to setup a fresh SD card with a fresh install of Pi OS Bookworm and then install the BOINC manager software.
It assumes you have already created accounts for your favourite BOINC projects; just make sure they can run on the Raspberry Pi, as some projects do not.
It will also show you the workaround for the current BOINC manager “Notices” graphical glitch bug.
Remember, when running BOINC on a Raspberry Pi, always have a good cooling solution; the official case and active cooler are great options.
Terminal commands:
sudo apt-get install boinc-client boinc-manager -y

Yes, had a few Pi running projects for the last 4-5 year now 24/7 Its nice to see them run much faster on the Pi 5, which project do you support? I started with SETI but now I have it split between Medical and Astrophysics

That fix for BOINC Manager by changing the screen size doesn't work with X11; it only works with Wayland.
